I'm still working on Hubby's "short hair is frumpy matron hair" thing.
Heh. I know that's not Pete's objection, because he thinks several of our friends with short hair are stunning. But in Pete's head, Jilli Hair Must Be Long.
I should probably stop thinking about cutting it, and just console myself with the notion of pink extensions, shouldn't I?
Oh, today is a good day. I just heard that someone I can't stand at work has given notice. Happy happy joy joy!
Anyone here work in Visio to create site maps? I know that there is an align shapes option and am wondering if there's also an option for aligning connectors.

Welcome to my life. I finally decided it is my hair and I'm the one who has to deal with it every minute of every day. I love it short and have received a bunch of compliments since my last cut. DH is the only one who doesn't like it.
TCG likes my hair longer, but then quickly adds that it is my hair and of course I should do what I want with it.

This will probably be my OTC, once I get the moolah to get it done. I don't trust anyone but Erika to do it. And she's a spendy one. But totally worth it.
Hec, have you ever thought of putting your interest in short hair to professional use?
But then I'd have to charge you for all this advice.
Okay Hec, there's a challenge for you: find me hairstyle options that will work with my aesthetic and NOT involve me getting all my hair cut.
It would take a bit of investment in time to master the techniques, but I would point you towards things like the classic French twist or have you scroll through Vintage Hair and find good examples of rolls. I think you could do some very cool Black Dahlia looks.
This gal has some interesting and elaborate rolls

Oh cool! She's a hairstylist in Dallas who specializes in vintage looks
Here's some cool forties hair, and rolls-in-progress on Flickr
Swing Hair
Forties rolls with a snood
Another forties look - you might try sweeping your bangs
Or maybe a fancy Herringbone braid.
TCG is a pearl without price.
My hair is now at shoulder length, but I can't make it be smooth with cute flippy ends. My hair is thick and basically straight, but full of random waves and cowlicks. It is also, for the first time in my life, dry. I don't know if it was chemo, age or hormones, but I went from very oily hair that had to be washed at least every other day to hair that is very dry, so it has that lovely fried look. Anyone have any miracle shampoos or conditioners?
