I had an interesting day at school. Ended up finding what I think is a 1 1/2-page proof for something that I'd previously taken six pages to prove. There are still a few parts that are a bit more hand-wavy than I'd like, but it's really neat and elegant, I think. Or possibly just overly self-satisfied and trite. But I think it's elegent. I'll talk to my advisor about it tomorrow.
(Just need to go over one part of it to make sure it actually works, because right now, I've just got something like "it is readily proven that..." because I can't actually figure out a formal way to prove it.)

Am home from California. Tired. Actually got home yesterday. Now to crash and die for a day or so. Loved seeing my family and friends and kinda miss them but it's also good to be home.
Yeah, mental health is tenacious, but she's also a wily motherfucker.

How weird is it to actually miss the hospital? I don't actually miss the hospital, but it's really quiet here right now...a little too quiet. I should be having a silly chat with L about now. And tomorrow I'm gonna miss my coffee with P. And I'll always miss my hugs from D. And I'm missing my required check-ins with A.
