Kaylee: So how many fell madly in love with you and wanted to take you away from all this? Inara: Just the one. I think I'm slipping.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

At least the tea lights weren't lit, because then I'd wonder about dark rituals and the like. Or someone is trying to design the ultimate unique candelabra.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

most prescription pain meds' side effects are worse for me than the pain.

I have horrible side effects with morphine. The only good thing is that it also knocks me out cold, so I only experience the side effects for about 20 minutes. But, those 20 minutes suck.

Demoral (sp?) on the other hand is quite lovely.

Vicodin doesn't do much for me. Valium is nicely relaxing.

Despite what I just wrote, I don't take painkillers (beyond regular Tylenol) that often. I still have some vicodin from my root canal 2 years ago.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Demerol! That's the one that doesn't play nice with my brain.

Aren't bodies just so weird...

Who was that wee blonde who breezed through Not!Here?

Demerol! That's the one that doesn't play nice with my brain.

I think my exact words to the nurse who gave me demerol was, "Demerol is my new best friend." It was so lovely.

Morphine made me EXTEMELY paranoid. Like whoa paranoid. Not. Fun.

Aren't bodies just so weird...

Yes. And, if I remember correctly, can be a lot of fun, too, but that's been a while and I could be wrong.

I believe that Demorol was the only pain med they gave me when I had K-Bug. I remember feeling the pain, but not caring about it. As in "Wow, another contraction. Gosh, that really hurts" all said in a level voice.

Yeah, my first reaction when they asked me if I still hurt post-Demerol injection was, "Yeah. But I don't really care somehow." The paranoia came later. Didn't take long though. Well, I don't think so. Time stopped being exactly linear.

Pain management is tricksy.

Cass, that probably explains my roommate's reaction in the hospital. Demerol is all the Navy hospital gives and she was talking about how much it messed her up. I had forgotten about that and was young enough at the time that I didn't realize how differently some folks can react to the same meds.

Morphine makes me itch.

Injected Demerol gives my husband hallucinations and convulsions. That was fun to watch. He's a fan of Percoset.
