Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
What if she's Golden Age? Paper is made of wood, right?
Heh heh.
You read that one where Alan and either, like, Hal or Kyle are camping? And there's lots of great snark about such things?
You said WOOD.

No, I haven't. I should track that one down.
Quick rant.
When I work at least 45 hours a week, and at least 2 days a week am here until 7:30, plus work some Saturdays. It is really, really really not appropriate to tell me, "You sure don't make it easy for people who work, do you?" with a snitty attitude when I tell you I do not have a late appointment open next week.
First, it implies that I do not, in fact, work. Second, I am at work for a good amount of my week for very little money. You are telling me that your time is worth more than mine. Should I be here until 8:30? 9:30? What would fit your schedule best? No, no, it's fine. I don't have housework or a husband, or animals that need taking care of.
Sometimes, people have to take off work to make appointments. I have to do that quite often since I work from 9 to 6 or 7:30 to accomodate people like you who work and need late appoinments.

Pretty Fucking Offended.
DJ - please tell me this is a customer, not a co-worker.
No, it was a customer. All of my coworkers-including my boss who just sent me on a smoke break-were equally offended.
ETA: They don't have to pay for our services either.
If a place wasn't open for an appointment when I got off work, I'd schedule during the work day and try to juggle my schedule. As it is, I can't get appointments during the day, either (and I don't work). Yeah, that customer's comment was just rude. He/she should not assume his/her time is any more valuable than anyone else's.
And see, if she didn't have to have it next week, she could have one at 5 or 6 or even 6:30. But those go fast because everybody wants to not have to take off work.
I have a very open schedual - and I have had for years. I actually try and avoid a lot of the afterwork /late afternoon hours so people with 9-5 type work can use them. I will take early morning if it invovles the doctor. Just because things can get frelled up pretty quickly. anyway, I have complained about places that were only open 9-5- but in 95% of those cases there is a way around them. and that doesn't even fit this senerio.
