Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I took exactly one of the pain meds I got for my tooth infection/root canal (I think it was vicodin), then gave the rest to Cass. Stuff made me feel gross, and the pain wasn't that bad.
Bless you child. For, lo, had I fucked up my back. And drugs were goooood.
I'm beginning to rival you in terms of needing a padded hamster ball.
I've got a few boxes of bubble wrap, I'll send them down.
Most of my bruises are almost gone right now. It's neat to see skin. Of course, having said that, I am bound to crash into something today.
I am oh so glad that pain meds either work or don't work for me. They don't do wonky things to my tummy or to my brain.
Except for one injected kind I got in the ER one time when pain was at a 9.5, that made me paranoid and - once I remember the name - I will never ever take it again. Pain was better than creeped out brain. It was one that is rather commonly sought in hospitals I was told.
Oh wait, I have a mimosa.
Ooh I want some.
hmm. I poured some into the disk drive, is it coming out on your end?
I had nightmares night-before-last. Last night, Mallory had the nightmare and flat-out refused to go back to sleep, let alone to be in his room. I think he slept some between 4:30 am and 6:00 am...at least, that's the only time I slept, so I know he was awake otherwise.
I fell asleep on the living room floor, subsequently, with my knees up, and woke to find a series of tea lights arranged on my stomach and face.
Cute kid.
And why does he know? Because there is a strict granolas only policy in Joshua Tree.
He was visiting his aunt in Palm Desert over Christmas and she packed him off to go hiking in Joshua Tree. He was mostly complaining that it incovenienced him. @@
Sorry to hear about the nightmares creeping about the ether last night. I hopethe aftereffects have all dissipated.

Wireless. I'll check the outlet by the modem.

Awww, poor crybaby. @@

Mal is a cutie
pre-pyro proto-pyro. [I think proto better than pre, lyrical almost]
Pain pills are goooood. I've just about worked my way through the leftover pills from my surgery three years ago, and I'm sad. Almost anything with codeine in it makes me feel just fine, plus it's lovely to have nothing hurt.
Kristin, sorry about the fall. I do think those happen more often when one is already under some kind of stress. I know y'all are dealing with a hard situation.
Lots of ~ma to Kristin and ND and their family.
most prescription pain meds' side effects are worse for me than the pain.
Yeah, this. Generally narcotics make me feel so weird I won't take them unless the pain is really severe. I got some kind of -codin after my last surgery, and even though I took it, I took as little as I could stand. I don't like feeling like my brain isn't working right.
Valium, however, I'll wrestle you for.
I had a horror movie of a nightmare the night before last. Plot and everything, complete with close-up of zombified screaming woman. Dis.Turbing.
At least the tea lights weren't lit, because then I'd wonder about dark rituals and the like. Or someone is trying to design the ultimate unique candelabra.

I have horrible side effects with morphine. The only good thing is that it also knocks me out cold, so I only experience the side effects for about 20 minutes. But, those 20 minutes suck.
Demoral (sp?) on the other hand is quite lovely.
Vicodin doesn't do much for me. Valium is nicely relaxing.
Despite what I just wrote, I don't take painkillers (beyond regular Tylenol) that often. I still have some vicodin from my root canal 2 years ago.
