I love the idea of a garden too. (And I'd probably plant some things. . . I can't say that it would be something that could aspire to being called a garden.)

We're making do, but its harder to have fun in cold rain.

All the womenfolk and babies are napping. The guys got back from watching Emmett play video games. Our breakfast plans were thwarted so badly we had to have lunch instead. Oh, Tahoe, how can you treat us so shabbily?

In the afternoon we'll brave our way up the mountain where there's snow and pay for using some sled runs - maybe with inner tubes.

On the plus side of the ledger, Britney Spears shaved her head.

Sorry about the shitty weather, Hec. When we were in Grass Valley/Tahoe area this exact weekend a couple years back it was just very cold and wet and bleh.

I was bummed, not for lack of snow, but because I was really hoping that California weather would be a respite from the February New England bullshit I was so weary of.

I know we did go up atop a ski resort mountain and there was a crapload of snow there... again, I was like, oh yeah, THIS is why I came here from Boston. But there was a 2 year old and snow angel making involved, so it was fun times anyway.

Every now and then I think I would like to have a house and garden. Then I think of how I don't like to mow lawns or rake leaves and am very happy to have my balcony pots to garden in. Plant 'em and almost forget 'em. I keep an eye on the water level and that's about it.

ION, I have acquired another cat. They are currently considering detente. One cat is at the top of the stairs to the loft and the other one is sitting at the bottom of the stairs. There is some growling. I tried putting one of the cats in the spare room, but as soon as I opened the door to put a litter box in the room he weaseled his way out. Sigh. We'll see what happens at bed time. Tucker was used to sleep on the bed with me, a position that's been assumed by Elliot in is status of lone cat.
