Every now and then I think I would like to have a house and garden. Then I think of how I don't like to mow lawns or rake leaves and am very happy to have my balcony pots to garden in. Plant 'em and almost forget 'em. I keep an eye on the water level and that's about it.
Too bad about the lack of snow, Hec. The innertubing sounds like fun, though.
ION, I have acquired another cat. They are currently considering detente. One cat is at the top of the stairs to the loft and the other one is sitting at the bottom of the stairs. There is some growling. I tried putting one of the cats in the spare room, but as soon as I opened the door to put a litter box in the room he weaseled his way out. Sigh. We'll see what happens at bed time. Tucker was used to sleep on the bed with me, a position that's been assumed by Elliot in is status of lone cat.

Re: gardens. I had lovely ones in CT, which I believe have gone to hell since the DexH isn't much of a gardener. This makes me sad. Considering that we have only just today gotten around to watering the lawn here, however, it's probably best that I'm not attempting any real gardening. (I did have one moment of gardener's bliss recently, though--there is a poor, half-dead hydrangea out back that was in desperate need of cutting back. I tore half of the mass of the bush out and tossed all the dead parts, and now it's budding!)
