I can always ask the building manager to take out some of the flourescent bulbs. If I could just cut them in half it would be tolerable. Or possibly a nice table lamp instead.
When you say "take out", use air quotes.
'Harm's Way'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hey bt! I hear that "your" PM has been dissin' Barack. (note air quotes)
Chi, I've been sick for going on two weeks.
I am so sorry. I've been right there with you.
I've been on zithromaz since friday.
Yep, me, too. And prednisone (ick) and an inhaled steroid and a regular inhaler (alupent because I'm allergic to albuterol).
And, I agree with beth, use the nasal sprays. They will make you feel better.
brownies make everything better. even when the first one out of the pan fell apart - I can never wait until they are cool enough
Do the nasal sprays hurt. The info sheet says there can be burning and headache. I'm so tired of feeling bad I'm feeling all babyish about doing anything new.
Oh, ChiKat, that's a lot of meds. You poor poor sweetie. You're right up there with my Ben.
I made a chocolate cake during my afternoonwindow of feeling good. For medicinal purposes. I don't tolerate the zithromax well on an empty tummy. See? That's medicinal.
Cindy, I had a steroidal nasal spray when I was a lot younger. I remember it stinging a bit, and mostly having a yucky aftertaste. YnosesprayMV.
Cindy, I'll write you a script for cake at this point! I hope you feel better soon.
We're anticipating the BIG winter storm (which will probably only end up being a few inches of snow followed by assish freezing rain tomorrow then dogawful freezing temps on Wednesday). I have removed all reason for leaving the house until Friday by braving hellish lines at the grocery this evening for 1) beer 2) donuts and 3) diet coke.
There is also milk, diapers and graham crackers.
It's really not bad, Cindy. Just imagine what you would tell your kids if they needed to take a medicine which would be really helpful and they were afraid, and say the same thing to yourself.
Cindy, I use a steroid nasal spray. It irritates my nose for about 10 seconds and that's it. It really does help.
no more excuses , cindy. remember to reward your bravery with chocolate cake.
