I'm a single undead gal trying to make it in the big city. I have to start somewhere and they're evil here. They don't judge. They've got necro-tempered glass. No burning up. A great medical plan, and who needs dental more than us?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Robin, I think that 6 weeks is a little long. I felt pretty normal after 2 weeks, I went back to work without incident. But, I had a sit down job (hilariously, they told me not to lift more than 5 pounds. I told my doctor "my purse weighs more than 5 pounds!")

I think that part of the key for me was that I did not do a damn thing for an entire week. Seriously. A big day was moving from the bed to the chair. I had that luxury, being single and staying with my parents, and my mom hovered like like a hovercraft.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Lying around for a week, check. That I can do. And I also have a desk job. I may be able to work from home part of the time as well through the miracle of the internets. I am not worried about being taken care of since I have the world's best DH and amazing friends, so I know that'll be fine.

What is even happening?

Robin, I'm sorry you need the big style surgery, and hope you're oh so glad to have had it, once it's all over with. Strength and health to you.

This is key, I think that's where my BFF went wrong. After a couple of days or so she started feeling a bit better and went out shopping. She said it put her recovery back a couple of weeks (but she did get some really cute shoes on sale that day!)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Anyone know a quick substitute for nail polish remover?

Signed,

has blue nail polish and a concert in three hours

What is even happening?

Can you cover it with another color?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My other options are purple, blue, and another blue. I have ecclectic taste.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Well it's not good for your nails but I have been known to chew the polish off. (and spit it out!)

Crisis averted. Found the nail polish remover. My next option was insect repellant.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

schadenfreude

this is not something I normally feel. or even really 'get'. Except in the case of Matt's co. There is the beginning of a realization of what his leaveing means. and so far only two people know. It isn't that Matt is unique. there are 4 people that can do what he does and hit the ground running ( one left the co about a year and a half ago- the other 3 include Matt and the 2 others on his team) I think the only people that could come close are over 45 so they have had some really broad spectrum experience and they did things the hard way for a long time. and they want a lot more $$ if they need to travel the way Matt has been.Matt gave his BigBoss a list of skill set. Matt was impressed with himself - BigBoss blanched.

Did they really think Matt has been exaggerating for the last 3 years?
