We saw him speak here at UCLA. So adorable and charming. We were there very early, waiting with about 20 other folks and he came trundling in carrying his laptop and projector. He walked by and did a double-take, stopped and said "Oh, are you all here for me?" When told that's exactly why we were there, he gave us a big grin and thanked us.
Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

Robin, I think that 6 weeks is a little long. I felt pretty normal after 2 weeks, I went back to work without incident. But, I had a sit down job (hilariously, they told me not to lift more than 5 pounds. I told my doctor "my purse weighs more than 5 pounds!")
I think that part of the key for me was that I did not do a damn thing for an entire week. Seriously. A big day was moving from the bed to the chair. I had that luxury, being single and staying with my parents, and my mom hovered like like a hovercraft.

Lying around for a week, check. That I can do. And I also have a desk job. I may be able to work from home part of the time as well through the miracle of the internets. I am not worried about being taken care of since I have the world's best DH and amazing friends, so I know that'll be fine.

This is key, I think that's where my BFF went wrong. After a couple of days or so she started feeling a bit better and went out shopping. She said it put her recovery back a couple of weeks (but she did get some really cute shoes on sale that day!)

Crisis averted. Found the nail polish remover. My next option was insect repellant.
