Robin, I'm glad you have your answer and things can happen quickly from here -- the recovery thing sucks, but aside from that, everyone I've known who's been through the same thing was very happy for the relief in the end.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Robin... Ick about the surgery and yeah, 6 weeks is probably what it will take. My BFF had the same procedure, for the same reason, you're having and she was down for the count for a good month and it took about 2 more weeks to get back to 100%. That said, she's so glad that she had it done just from a pain standpoint. For that alone she said the surgery was worth it.
The important thing is that Scrappy gets all patched up and healthy and pain-free.
We should probably inundate you with treats just so its clear that we love you we're concerned about you and don't want you to be bored.
health ma~~ Robin
happy birthday Suzi!
What everybody else said, Robin. Sorry you can't have the easier procedure but it's good you have a course of action now and can get on the road to being free of the pain soon.
We can call it "squab" if you prefer
Except I know what squab is.

If we took the bones out it wouldn't be crunchy....
I'm sorry Robin. Truly, every woman I know that went through this has said after the fact that they wish they had taken care of it earlier. Relief is at the end of this ordeal. Recovery time varies with the individual. My sister was only in the hospital a few days and made her friend stop to eat at a sit down restaurant on the way home. (she admitted later that was a bit much) She recovered well and went stark raving mad not being able to drive for a couple months. She lives in a remote mountain area and could only go to work if her son or friends drove her. And they refused to do so unless she was behaving herself.
Yay for the hospital being close by so that WBH can visit you lots and lots.
Or Speckled Jim.
This makes me think of Spotted Dick. Which makes me laugh.
