Thank you guys for the birthday wishes for Aidan. If he understood, I'd tell him. On the one hand, he used a sentence I'd never heard him use before today, "I would like a puzzle." On the other hand, he kicked and screamed and threw himself to the floor and thrashed when I took him to his puzzles.
He's not feeling well. So far today he's kicked and hit me and his father, broken the chalk for his new easel (chalkboard one side, white board on the other) into 1/2 inch pieces and thrown them on the floor; thrown his crayons across the dining room, ripped off all his clothes and beat the crap out of me when I dressed him again, screamed a lot, and mashed a banana in his hands and then threw it at me.
We've canceled his birthday party. It's terrifically cold out, he's sick, and he doesn't understand that it's his birthday, that there's any reason for a party, or why he got a present, or why he didn't get to go to school today (canceled on account of cold, his and the weather) and he seems confused and resentful by the odd wrongness of the day.
He doesn't eat stray medicine, though, or teeth.
P-C, I left you a testimonial (and an edit, to it). I like your biodata, a lot. I think it's a good idea. There's got to be a young woman who will be tickled silly by it, and that's the sort of young woman you want to meet.
Viscous? Christopher just scares me sometimes.
Yeah. My mother reports that he spent New Year's Eve showing her which things in her condo were transparent, translucent, and opaque.
{{Cindy and family}} How frustrating and awful. Much ~ma for a boring uneventful week. Also, loved reading the hive mind suggestions for pill consumption.
Thanks Laura. I take it that hellacious tornado that ripped through your state was near neither you nor askye? I only saw part of a news report, and missed the location.
Liv had her one year check up. She remains petite--she hasn't broken 20lbs but she's just a half pound under and still in the 25th percentile in weight.
Oh, she is petite, but that's okay. She's just perfect.
Oh, Deena, you poor sweetie. And poor Aidan, too. You were smart to cancel the party. {{{Deena and Aidan}}}

Awesome. I mean, I know it probably feels lesser right now, because of everything else, but still, this is awesome.
{{{Deena and Aidan}}} I'm so sorry you are both having such a rough day.
{{{Deena and Aidan}}} I am so sorry for the frustrating day so far. I hope it gets better, loves.
{{{Deena}}} I think Aidan's got the gist of Monday down pretty well. I hope you guys are staying warm up there.
I'm attempting to keep socks on all the little feet to ward off the cold.
Good luck with that, Cash. My mom bought Em these great fleece slippers and she HATES them. Screams when we put them on her.
Craxy kids.

Perzactly! I can keep Robeez on Liv but Owen pulls off everything I put on his feet. He just prefers them bare. I keep fighting him during the day though, because they feel like ice after a while.
OK--it's lunch time and then NAPS!
I hope Aidan's birthday gets better, Deena.
