What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Happy birthday, Aidan and Victor!

What is even happening?

Cindy, I was so impressed with her. Jay felt like crap, but he doesn't have little kids in his life that much, so why would he think about it?
You should be. I hope you praised her silly. That was always my thing with dangerous stuff -- if they brought it right to me, I'd make a big stinking deal about being so pleased and proud, and what a good boy or girl they were, and so smart.

Poor Jay. I bet he will never make that mistake again, and there was no harm and no foul this time -- because Em is GENIUS!!!

Silly boy children.

The same Christopher who ate the thing that was white, and square and looked like a tooth, but wasn't a tooth -- was helping me make brownies on Friday. I had him stirring while I got Ben some medicine, or something. He stopped stirring, and I when I told him to keep going, he said, "Mommy, these brownies are getting difficult to stir, because they are viscous." I pretty much stood there slack-jawed saying, "A yep. That's right. Yep. That they are."

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I hope you praised her silly.

Oh yeah. Totally.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Happy Birthday, Aidan!!!

Go, Christopher!

I learned to swallow pills at a young age (but I don't remember how young), because I absolutely hated liquids and chewables.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Happy Birthday, Aidan!

Aimee, Em's a good girl--bringing that to you. I understand checking for child-proofing when you visit someone, but checking for scattered sedatives is a new one for me.

Viscous? Christopher just scares me sometimes.

Liv had her one year check up. She remains petite--she hasn't broken 20lbs but she's just a half pound under and still in the 25th percentile in weight.

Owen's amusing himself by trying on gloves and pretending he's going outside.

Our wings are not tired.

{{Cindy and family}} How frustrating and awful. Much ~ma for a boring uneventful week. Also, loved reading the hive mind suggestions for pill consumption.

Um, not so cold here. It is unseasonably rainy. Very odd after years of drought in the winter.

Yay Sparky! May you have coffee soon. Yay DCistas for the excellent new residents.

Happy Birthday to Victor and Aidan!

High praise for Em and her not pill poppin ways!

and now that I caught up, I have to run...

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Thank you guys for the birthday wishes for Aidan. If he understood, I'd tell him. On the one hand, he used a sentence I'd never heard him use before today, "I would like a puzzle." On the other hand, he kicked and screamed and threw himself to the floor and thrashed when I took him to his puzzles.

He's not feeling well. So far today he's kicked and hit me and his father, broken the chalk for his new easel (chalkboard one side, white board on the other) into 1/2 inch pieces and thrown them on the floor; thrown his crayons across the dining room, ripped off all his clothes and beat the crap out of me when I dressed him again, screamed a lot, and mashed a banana in his hands and then threw it at me.

We've canceled his birthday party. It's terrifically cold out, he's sick, and he doesn't understand that it's his birthday, that there's any reason for a party, or why he got a present, or why he didn't get to go to school today (canceled on account of cold, his and the weather) and he seems confused and resentful by the odd wrongness of the day.

He doesn't eat stray medicine, though, or teeth.
