I didn't even hear about the marketing of it until later apart from the newspaper ads, which where annoying (and I never saw any of the MTV stuff), but that was what I took from the buzz that came out of Sundance. I recall it was positive buzz, but it was the kind of positive buzz that had me running for cover.

Con. I will admit to finding some bits amusing, but I don't think I actually

once, and I certainly didn't understand what the big deal was. I loved the opening credits, though.

MTV was the distributor, so they did all the marketing, post-Sundance.
i'm sort of in between pro and con for Napoleon Dynamite. there were some funny bits, but it's not something i'd add to my dvd library to watch again and again.
