Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

i'm sort of in between pro and con for Napoleon Dynamite. there were some funny bits, but it's not something i'd add to my dvd library to watch again and again.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

MTV was the distributor, so they did all the marketing, post-Sundance.

Ah, so the annoying newspaper ads were their contribution too.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Now tagless for your comfort.

tiggy is me.

You know what I like? Although I am not particularly fond of the sliced, pre-wrapped, processed cheese food, I love watching toddlers eat the stuff. It's hilarious.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

So I pose the question to the Bitches: Napoleon Dynamite: Pro or Con?
Con. A very good friend of mine was irrationally pro and tried to get me to watch it and, I swear, I tried. I even kept fast-forwarding thinking that maybe I could pretend to finish it. I couldn't.

So now I can't trust his advice on stuff. Because of Napoleon Dynamite. And he suggests stuff and I just shrug and say, "Napoleon." It's kinda tragic how my faith in his knowing me has been shattered.

Though now I really wants some tots.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Heeeeeeee. I hate when this happens.

Napoleon Dynamite: Pro or Con?

I haven't seen it either. It seems to be in that category of movies for me where I tell people I haven't seen it, and there is much wailing and gnashing of teeth, and yet when I suggest we watch it, they don't want to. See also: Fight Club.

That being said, I use the "Gawd!" vocalization in conversation a lot.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I am con-Napoleon Dynamite without ever having actually seen it. The previews I've seen and what I've been told by friends leads me to believe that I would hate it, and probably want to smack everyone in the movie.
