We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, and feel better, Nora! Sick is no fun.

Bitches, make me go quilt. I've got to have this quilt done by Sunday, and I haven't even cut the binding fabric yet. This is my LEAST favorite part of quilting, but really, it's not gonna get easier if I keep putting it off.

Hooray for the Y! Except of course, if they only have a maximum of 2 lanes open for laps in the evenings for people who want to swim after work.

shakes fist at Salem Y.

How long does this step in the quilting process take?

Oh, that sucks. I'm gonna go visit this one tomorrow. But, it looks like they've got all new equipment, a pool, tons of classes, a massage therapist, etc. I hope it's as good as it sounds.

Thrive to spite them

Nora I have You on a Diet - Mom got one for me and my brother for Xmas. It's a really interesting book and the diet ideas seem very sensible.

Mom and I keep saying that we're going to do the diet together but so far we haven't. But I just saw a picture a co worker took of me a few weeks ago and wow, it was completely unattractive and it may be the motivation I need to get started.

Well, it's a four-step process:

1. Cut the fabric (about 20 minutes)

2. Sew the fabric pieces together (about 15 minutes)

3. Sew the binding onto the quilt (about an hour)

4. Hand sew the binding to the other side of the quilt (for eternity--more realistically, probably about 10-15 hours).

I really need to get the first 3 steps done today so I can start the hand sewing while I watch tv tonight.

So, after 1.5 hours doing the first 3 steps, you get a treat! I don't know what, but a treat there shall be!

Good plan.

Um...I can put together my notebook for the new semester.

Boy, I'm boring.

Hi. I'm sick. Second day home and I'm glad to be home and all, but I'm just so uncomfortable all the time. Stupid head cold!

That sucks; I guess Tom passed it along after all. Health-ma to both of you so you get to visit your Grams this weekend.

Totally. But he's so adorable I can't stay mad at him. He also brought me sorbet (I suspect, in an attempt to distract me from the ice cream. HAHAHA!)

Whoo, those cold meds are kicking right in there.
