Now tagless for your comfort.

I've put on 15 lbs since the summer. It's all in the middle--except for the part that on my face. I'm going to have to buy new pants at this point. I was down to size 12 jeans after having Owen but they do not fit me at all and I'm left with some of the drawsting pants I wore through both pregnancies and that's about it. I started to steal a pair of DH's jeans this morning. And, while they fit me in the waist, they are way too long and baggy everywhere else.

My activity level is starting to get back up so now I just have to cut the junk food out of my diet.

Bwhahahahaha.

Mostly lurking...

I'm actually going to be starting to see a nutritionist next month, because what I've been trying for weight loss has actually caused me to gain, no lose. We know my meds are playing a nasty part in this, so it's time to call in the big guns. The nutritionist will determine whether or not I need to go to the MGH Weight Center for further evaluation.

I'm the heaviest I've ever been and none of my clothes fit. Worse, I thought I'd be losing weight, so I bought some clothes that borderline fit me at the beginning of the month (mom convinced me to buy them since I'd be losing weight). Well, they sure don't fit now. So depressing.

My attempts to lose weight have all led to weight gain as well. For me, I fairly sure it is because I get disgusted and depressed and then overeat and undo any good that I have done.

Hi. I'm sick. Second day home and I'm glad to be home and all, but I'm just so uncomfortable all the time. Stupid head cold!

Good luck with the nutritionist stuff, vw... One thing I'm working on actively is not being angry at myself for weight stuff, because it totally puts me in a bad mind to eat food that's healthy and good for me. When I'm mad at myself (even if it's for a logical reason), I want to eat food that is VERY VERY bad, and you see how that sets up into a vicious cycle right away.

In conclusion: do not buy clothes that do not fit you anymore, because it will just give you a reason to flog yourself down the road!

Signed, Been There, Done That.

Er, I'm not *scolding* anyone. Just pointing out potential mental pitfalls to look out for in the future.

I just read an really interesting book, though, called You: On A Diet. Very interesting discussion of how food affects your body and what your body does to food. Also analysis about physiologica/psychological aspects of weight gain/food issues as well. Intriguing!

Hi, sj! Thank you for the well wishes. I'm hoping to get all my reading for school done and then I'll be satisfactorily productive.

I'm reading the same book, Nora. It's a very interesting read.

It took me a little while to get through the biology talky meat, which was a challenge, but then it was really fascinating.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Do your guys's ratios change much?

Only since childbirth, really. It stayed pretty steady at around .70-.72 for yonks, and is now closer to .75-.77 post-baby.
