I have been told that it's best to not bring books and laptops etc to bed. That beds should be for sex and sleeping only, and it's supposed to combat insomnia and...some other stuff.
Whatev!
Without books and a laptop, I just sort of flop there and stare at the ceiling. Sheesh. That directive clearly came from someone with little personal insomnia experience.
This report is brought to you from my queen sized bed, which sees its fair amount of sleep, but, well, you know.
See? See? This way, you can just roll over and go back to sleep. Laptops in bed TOTALLY help you get your rest on!
I don't think the BMI takes into account figures like yours, Plei. I imagine your bust would totally skew your numbers and the BMI would likely tell you that you were overweight, even if you were otherwise too thin for you.
Well, my bust is a tame DDD at the moment, no doubt to go down to a single or double at some point. (Glares at bustline.)
But, even when I was a much thinner (and, okay, shorter) C cup, it has me at over, because I'm built like a quarter horse.
Given that my bed is also my couch, I laugh at the no books directive. Had I a laptop, I would also laugh at the no laptop directive.
Where did you learn your lean body mass, Plei?
My BMI is remaining pretty constant at 25.2. Meh.

That's where I get the majority of my reading done.
Today, she was trying to pull the pillow off it so that she could get the thing open so that it would play her Old MacDonald again.
Bwah! Owen loves banging on the keyboard and yelling DISNEY CHANNEL DOT COM!
I have realized that having my laptop in the living room is really contributing to my staying up too late. I'm often doing random surfing, look up, and whoops! it's 12:30.
We Stephs are as one on this.
I think that I'm going to have to have a rule. But I break rules a lot.
And again, the Stephs stand in unison. Woot.

I concur!

You are rogue rule breakers!
Oooh! Lee, I've heard about LaLa -- are you able to invite more than one person?
Steph, Suzi sent you an invite, right?
(this is all msbelle's doing initially, by the way.)

So very much this. I sometimes bring mine into the bedroom, but mostly because that's where the printer and the big shiny monitor live, rather than to use it in bed.
Moving it back and forth is harder for me than for most people, because whenever I move it, the cats have to spend 5 minutes sniffing it and scenting it, since it smells of OtherCat.
OMG, crashed SO HARD last night. Lee and Bev, thing will have to wait for tonight. I woke up at 11, realized I was still tired enough to sleep, and closed the laptop. Heck, I didn't even finish my birthday-based story. Which is going to be over 1000 words. Heh.
No worries, of course.
Guess I write in SPN now.
HAPPY DANCE TIME!
Oh, those of you doing Weight Watchers and counting points, I discovered that the Green Giant Just for One! broccoli & cheese are 1 pt. per little tray. Also, Progresso Vegetable soup is 1 pt. per cup, and also counts as a full serving of vegetables (the whole can is 2 cups = 2 pts. = 2 servings of veg).
FYI.

Yup! (Thanks, Suzi!)
