Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

morning, vw, and world! I'm typing with weight gloves on, which is tough. But lifting weights before work seems like a good plan. Off to do next set...

Might sip some coffee on the way...

Yes. Yes, it is morning. I have been awake for 20 minutes, thanks to starving-to-death-never-been-fed cats.

How these cats are so hungry, I don't know. Maybe they've been secretly passing off their food - which I spend wayyyyyyyyy too much on ($60/month-ish, but most of that is prescription food for Harvey, what with his chronic UTI thing going on) - to the squirrels outside, in return for the fantastic entertainment the cats get from watching their antics.

Caffeine may ease workout pain

In a small study of female college students, researchers found that a caffeine supplement seemed to lessen the familiar muscle pain that crops up the day after a particularly challenging workout.

All right! Thanks Tom for making it ok for me to sip coffee while working out instead of water. Actually I am just a heavy drinker. At least a 12 cup pot of coffee a day, often more. Tons of water all day with the cooler next to my desk. Wine at night, well not too much of that.

And there's Tom Scola, bringing the cheerful, caffeine-really-is-a-wonder-drug, news.

Daniel, darling man that he is, offered to make breakfast for me this morning. Often I feel guilty about accepting those offers, especially on mornings when he has to get to work, and I've got until afternoon before I need to be anywhere. And then I realized, oh, it's my 37th birthday, I'm feeling weird about that number, and if there's one thing that would cheer me up, it's having my man spoil me rotten.

I'm so lucky.

Happy Natal Anniversary, Andi!!

ION, oatmeal with dried cranberries, raisins and dates with a sprinkle of brown sugar is very yummy. I should do this more often.
