Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Go Team Not Getting Dressed!

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

No sexy eye-patch; that's no longer protocol, apparently, as patches keep the eye from getting oxygen.

Overall it isn't TOO bad, until I do something dumb like rubbing my eye. Then it hurts. I think Cashmere probably needs pain meds more than I!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

What is everyone else doing today?

I am dressed. Last night fever seems to have settled down to a cold. I finshed a book ( Under Orders by Dick Francis) , and I have watched some tv. I see more tv and books in my future. What I did not/will not do today is more distressing- go to Sparky's good bye brunch or a friends 70th birthday party. ptui.

My DH would love to be at the NAMM show - lots of his guitar buddies are there.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

It's snowing! Pretty snow! Which also means that I definitely won't be grocery shopping today -- it's order online weather. (I do so love the "order groceries online" option that the modern age has given us.)

Punishingly Intricate

Was supposed to go to lovely place for dinner w/ friends but it is supposed to be sleeting later and friends didn't want to drive up from DC. I want to see Pan' Labryinth but I'm thinking I'll stay in my stinky yoga clothes and sit on my couch and out of the snow and watch the last Arrested Develpment ep and some Farscape. What will I eat though?!

hmm...I did pick up some porcini mushroom ravioli earlier. But what to put on it? How long do ya'll think an open jar of sundried tomato pesto stays good in the fridge? I always get confused about the jarred things.

If it's not growing anything and doesn't smell funny, it's probably okay.

That's how I judge, anyway.

V-8 is nice over flavorful raviolis, also.

Always Anti-fascist!

I went to the bookstore and bought some paperbacks. I think I should call them consolation prizes actually. Laura Lippman's "Every Secret Thing" and some book called "How to be Latina in Ten Easy Steps"

Heat it thoroughly, it'll be fine.

How bummed am I to be missing Sparky's going away brunch?

Extremely.
