Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

and the fact that we may may gain an smonster is extra cool.

Buh? Details, please! Also, eeeeeee!

The baptism went absurdly well, considering how mostly ill-prepared we were. Matilda looked angelic and acted likewise (except for the actual pouring on of water, and even so she perked up afterwards, possibly remembering warm baths she'd enjoyed in the past, and got a highly entertaining "Never had that happen with my clothes on before! More, please?" expression on her face). The Bev dress was perfect. Everyone found the chapel, nobody got lost, there were neither tears nor recriminations. David's dad sat up close and more or less saw everything. Everyone got all choked up. Singing happened. All the kids got to come up to the front and help bless the water. Matilda's head is still smelling extra-sweet from the oil.

And then afterwards, everyone found my dad's place without getting lost, the frittata didn't suck, there were only two injuries (a catscratch to our goddaughter, and Emmett getting kicked in the balls by a tiny but ferocious cousin; everyone recovered with the application of some cuddles and cosseting and sugary treats), all the grandparents got to soak up much baby goodness and clock plenty of snuzzling time, and we've made it home again in one piece, or at any rate in no more pieces than we started out.

Today: SUCCESS. More pictures to come.

What is even happening?

JZ, that's wonderful. I'm glad it turned out so well, and that everyone was able to be there.

Well, she's looking for jobs. And the jobs are looking at her. And hugging her.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Pictures of Plei make me want to see Plei .

Looking at linoleum makes me want to see Plei.

I'm glad the baptism went well, JZ.

Brunch was wonderful, but between that, not sleeping well, then hitting Target, Marshall's, and bed bath and beyond, I am beyond tired, and may need to take a nap.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Pretty Matilda pictures! Glad everything went well (except for that kicking incident).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

(except for that kicking incident).

Yeah, that wasn't good. Emmett was rough-housing with one of the younger cousins and having a great time for an hour. I got worried that somebody was going to clonk a head on the table, so I told Emmett to get down lower to wrassle. Cousin tees off like it's the kickoff at the Superbowl and blam! Emmett froze. I thought it might be a comic moment, but no, it was a dead strike. He got root beer and recovered.

Tomorrow at the baseball tryouts? He wears the cup.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Tomorrow at the baseball tryouts? He wears the cup.

but he couldn't wear one if he was playing rugby. and some baseball coaches do things with bats to make sure their players where them.

I am sadly beginning to think that I am getting sick. as in fever. bah.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

(so do some fencers) (not with bats)
