[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Congrats, Amy! Get up so I can hug you!

YAY Amy!
From my syllabus:
Throughout this course, we will explore women's higher education in the United States as a gendered phenomenon. This investigation we will consider the ideological foundations and influences of women’s education; education that has at times assumed her incapable of reasoned thinking. Our examination will consider how epistemological traditions make gendered curricula possible, and the gendered status of post-secondary leadership, pedagogy, and access. We will pay particular attention to how social identity markers such as race/ethnicity, sexuality and social class factor in these analyses and phenomena. We will examine masculinity and men's roles in higher education from these perspectives.
Remember that internal transfer I put in for in mid-December. Other than that auto-reply confirming receipt, I haven't heard anything. I just sent a note to HR to follow-up. Job~ma would not be amiss.
Jobma, Suzi!
That sounds really great, Nora.
It reminds me of my irrational hate of the word pedagogy, though.
What words do you all hate? It doesn't have to be because of their meaning -- it can just be the sound, or looks. Most of my word hate lives in the shallow end of the pool. I also hate bucolic. Actually, I hate it much worse than I ever thought of hating pedagogy.
My most beloved word might be chiaroscuro. I also love mollycoddle, and lull.
YAY AMYLIZ!
Job~ma for Suzi!
huzzah! Grandma is out of the hospital!
She's probably going to get a pacemaker put in, though, in the near future.
