Amen!
So don't, Allyson. I'm not your mommy -- I'm not going to follow you around and make you say the magic words. My investment in this really isn't that great.
Like Sartre, only longer
It's the only logical choice.
Allyson, I find that your continued insulting of Zoe and continued bragging about enacting vigilantism is divisive and unpleasant. Please stop.

I dont understand this "bragging" bullshit. I'm being honest about what happened, don't feel wrong, and refuse to fucking cower in a corner about it. I'm also sickened by our need to be polite to Zoe, who doesnt give a shit about any of us.
Allsyon, my apologies for talking about you instead of to you, just my take on this. FWIW, I think it was an awful thing to say, though I did think, when I first read it, before she explained, that she meant it kindly (color me naive). Nevertheless, when Allyson was called on it, she apologized -- I don't think it matters what her motives were, she followed the rules. If it hadn't been brought up here and now, I don't think she would have mentioned it again. Since it was brought up as a warnable offense, she explained herself again. She explained her feelings and why she did it. I don't really see that as bragging. Maybe this is still naive. I don't think so. I see it more as being willing to own up to her actions and I think, whatever we think of her actions or her beliefs regarding those actions, the fact that she's willing to tell us the feelings behind them because she was asked as well as apologize, not only then but also again if it caused the community harm, is laudable. I think when everyone else drops it, it'll drop.
I'm not asking you to polite to Zoe. I'm asking you to be polite to me and the other posters who feel like calling someone "subhuman" is a different and worse thing than criticizing their behavior.
Edited to add: I'm going to be away from the computer for a while; I'm not going to be ignoring any responding posts, just not here for a bit.
Speaking for myself, talking about "send hurricane Allyson to solve the problem" definitely sounds to me like bragging. That expression appeared in WX (the Incident was right before the first outage), and I remember that other people spoke up against it too.
I would go back and look for more recent posts that bothered me too, but it's late and I'm dizzy.
I was using it to describe why I felt it was okay to say the things I said to her, Micole. I'm explaining how I felt, why I said what I said, because some folks want to know, and others seem to want to spank me, but they don't want me to say anything about what the spanking is all about, which ain't going to happen.
I'm not running away, I'm here to talk about why I did what I did, and I'd prefer to NOT lie about it. I felt it was okay to say what I said to Zoe, because I do not feel she is worthy of respect.
Scrappy explained that I took some choice away from the community by doing what I did, and because I actually do respect the community, I have to cop to it, and am not going to be able to kick Zoe, again, because I'm supposed to have Learned My Lesson.
And really, overall respect for the community is why I won't kick Zoe again. Though, my respect has been waning in recent times, I still have enough to want to explain myself, and to hear people out as to why they are upset with me.
