The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Fabulous. Then she at least knows about it. I can think of many reasons not to join in a discussion such as this, particularly when it's about you, but it seems the adult thing to do to is speak up.

Thrive to spite them

Gandalfe, could you please try to treat us like we are adults who are taking this seriously, understand the rules, and aren't trying to exclude the person involved.

I realize that you skimmed, but your constant questioning about if we understand the seriousness of what we are doing or if we have told Zoe or if she could even figure out what's going on is insulting.

Christ! Why is this suddenly about me not being able to keep up with this thread, or another thread that I'm not even subscribed to?

I've been skim boy. I assume that if anyone emailed her about it, they'll speak up.

When I said this, the only thing that had been said recently about e-mailing her was prefaced with (I think), which is not the greatest confidence builder. Now I have confirmation.

Gandalfe, if you look on the main page at all Bureaucracy is there.

Yes, but not the posts themselves, or the content thereof.

People repeatedly have said that they had e-mailed her, or were going to e-mail her. A Stompie has e-mailed her. Given this and your earlier request for people to cite specific incidents, after people already had, I'd like to suggest that if you're not able to remember things between your skimming sessions, perhaps you should consider taking notes and reviewing them before posting?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I realize that you skimmed, but your constant questioning about if we understand the seriousness of what we are doing or if we have told Zoe or if she could even figure out what's going on is insulting.

What. Askye. Said.

Doblerization request: inasmuch as she's been warned already can we please all chill and just MOVE ON?

It's not Gandalfe, it's not about your lack of keeping up.

It's just that I've felt there's been a rather...patornizing air about your posts.

Like, I don't understand the severity of what's going on, that warning Zoe could lead to her being banned.

That somehow we, the people discussing the situation here in B'cracy, haven't made sure to inform Zoe of what's going on so you have to make sure that's happened.

If you would ask "hey, I missed out and I don't know if you've done X, y, and Z." It would be a littler easier to take than posts that sound like we are deliberatly trying to keep her out of this.

brillig

For what it's worth, my apologies to those who feel I betrayed them for mentioning that there were LJs out there where this subject had been discussed.

As for the rest of this, I have not changed my position from what I said several hundred posts ago, and I can see that other positions remain unchanged. I like you all so much that I'm going over to Bitches now (um, not in a shunning manner, I'm just going to see who's there that I can trade innuendos with).

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

The problem with all the "talking it out" is not that it gets repetitious, but that it gets nasty. And A stompy saying "I have the info to make a decision" probably would not stop someone from posting if they just needed to vent. But it might prevent the continuous attempt to persuade when all the arguments have already been made. Anyway - not going to insist on it.

I'm just with Allyson on wishing that when someone acts really troll-like that people would not worry about whether a person might be trainable. This board requires the minimal social skills not to be offensive too often, and to apologize when they are. It might even let people slide by with one out of two. . I don't think we are being mean to ask that to stay on the board, you either meet that standard, or go away and get trained somewhere else until you do.

My apologies to those who felt I was insulting them - that was never my intention.
