Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Thank you ita for once again being willing to be the stompy.

And I too miss your presence here, Allyson. I'd love to see you around more.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Well - I can post my process suggestion if you like now.

First of all stompies are allowed to be proactive - to decide enough is enough and issue a warning without discussion. But I think most of them won't.

So at a certain minimum number of complaints or if they observe incidents, but are unsure if a warning is needed they ask for comments - letting possible warnee know.

As soon as they have enough comments they say "OK, we've have enough info" and ask that comments stop, possibly waiting for potential warnee to say something if enough time as not been given.

Immediately or after waiting enough time, they get together via e-mail, decide, and warn or not, announcing the decision in bureacracy. Consensus if possible, majority rule if not - among stompies only, not among buffistas as a whole.

It puts a bit on the stompies, but compared to endless decision on isssue of really extraordinary and lasting divisiveness, I hope they will accept the added responsibility.

And I also want to thank ita - and I really apologize for suggesting you take on added responsiblity - except I think having a little extra authority may be easier for you to take than the endless and sometimes really nasty discussion.

Nobody

I am thirding the more Allyson around here posts. I am sorry the discussion makes folk crazy. It doesn't bother me at all--a LOTof Buffiistas like to put their two cents in, and then you end up with endless opinion-o-rama, but this crowd has opinions on everything, so behavior isn't treated any differently than corsets or baseball or recipes. I skim over any subject when my eyes start to glaze over or my teeth clench.

No other candidate is asking the hard questions, like "Did geophysicists assassinate Jim Henson?" or "Why is there hydrogen in America's water supply?" --defective yeti

People were suggesting possibilities re: my non-existence as a physical entity. --Deena

Warnings and suspensions look pretty mild next to that!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I am thirding

Heh. If we vote, can we get more Allyson around here?

...it was a JOKE, people! Really!

(Well, the wanting more Allyson isn't a joke; the wanting a vote IS.)

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I vote that I receive a Federal subsidy to have Allyson follow me around and make snarky comments to people who annoy me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You can't vote before you propose, Victor.
