Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Here is a preliminary ballot. Comments welcome. IT DOESN'T WORK YET SO DON'T SUBMIT IT!

I'll be home until about 7:45pm EST, at which point I'm out for the evening. I'll put a working ballot up before I go. Others will have to post in Press with the relevent info.

Jon, the main comment I'd have about the last ballot is that it didn't look substantially different, after it was submitted, from the way it looked before.

Can we have this one be a form before submission, and then just a big-ass "your vote has been submitted" message after?

I'll try, John. Unfortunately, my time is limited, but that hopefully won't be too difficult.

Cool. It was just a bit confusing before. We didn't get any reports of people voting twice though, did we?

OK, I think I've got the ballot working and the validations in. Could a few people test it out? It temporarily sends the votes to my email so they won't get accidentally counted as real votes.

Our wings are not tired.

Sent a ballot and got both the Vote submitted screen and the confirmation email.

I'll try it again with out of range numbers.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Jon:

The form is working for me!

Someone had suggested earlier that we break question 3 into 2 part, like question 4.

so

3a: How many Buffistas does it take to make a vote count?

And then the explaination and vote for it
.

3b Do votes of "no preference" count toward this?
And then the explaination and vote for it
.

If you vote no, you want only votes that preferone option to count toward the minimum.

I think this needs to be re-worded, because it sounds a bit like we are only counting EITHER yes or no votes. Of course, I can't seem to reword it so it doesn't sound like I am biased against it. All I can come up with is "you want only votes that make an actual choice"

Thanks Jon!

Also, did we come to any conclusion on the "2 to 100" thing?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Looks good, Jon. I just cast a test ballot, and it looks like it's working properly. Upon submitting the ballot I got the "ballot cast" message on an otherwise blank template.

I was trying to do that, but failed. If someone can word it out in the next half hour, I can change it, but I think it's pretty clear as is.

I think this needs to be re-worded

How about "If you vote no, you want only votes for "yes" and "no" to count toward the minimum.

I realize that some future votes may have two options other than "yes" and "no", but this is clear enough for now, don't you think?

Also -- Laura, DX, Sophia -- your votes were received. Thanks.

Upon submitting the ballot I got the "ballot cast" message on an otherwise blank template.

As it should be.

How about "If you vote no, you want only votes for "yes" and "no" to count toward the minimum.

Better: "If you vote no, you want only votes that prefer either of the specific options to count toward the minimum."
