Well, look, in the posts John counted, clearly there's a big dropoff after the top six posters.

Who are you calling a big dropoff?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And you will note I have thus far refrained from calling anyone Madame Mao. So there.

You know, I was going to let this go, but really: Do you have a problem with someone in particular? And do you want to share who it is? Because snidely oblique comments like this really don't help any.

Huh. Apparently, I post more frequently and am more verbose with my new posting name.

Our wings are not tired.

But a LOT of other people have weighed in as well, which I think is more important.

Agreed. I was pleasantly surprised that 80 people had participated.

No, and it wasn't a snidely oblique comment, nor intended as one. Unless you take John's OBVIOUSLY DIRECTED AT ME comment seriously. Which I didn't.

Next time, I shall endevour to insert a :P when sticking my tongue out at someone.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

See, people mock the emoticons, but I think they have their uses.

Edit: Can someone come up with an emoticon that says "You need a serial comma there"?

voting being first mooted by Jesse

Um, what's that mean?

Sorry Jesse, I realise now that looks a bit weird.

What I mean to say was that I took my starting point from a more or less arbitrary point, but it was the point at which you said "I don't mind appearing authoritarian myself: I propose such-and-such".

That wasn't the point voting came up, of course, but it was the point voting started to be discussed in detail and here as opposed to WX.
