I will just note that this is a very odd definition of a seven days. We did not start formal discussion until Monday. Voting will close Friday (or is it Saturday). I have trouble getting seven days out of this.

I'm fine with extending the voting period, but I'd note that the vote to decide how to vote doesn't have to work the way item 4 says. Because we haven't yet decided that's how we want to do things. ;)

You vote no. The item presents one option. If you don't want that option, vote no. If enough people vote no, we keep discussing it.

The reason I said above is that I personally could envision 4 days of discussion, ironing out the final wording of the proposal AND discussing it. The 3 days of voting, where the discussion could continue, but nothing would change the proposal.

I would amend #4 as follows:

A yes vote on this item signifies the voter agrees that a full week's time is sufficient to discuss the issue. The week would be broken down thusly: Discussion: Days 1, 2, 3, and 4. Voting: Days 5, 6, 7. When there is a conflict for major holidays (to be defined) we will make accomodations (to be defined) as needed. We will vote later on whether discussions end on day 4 or continue during the votes.

I think if voting has been announced, we can't change the item. But we could add a note that voting yes closes discussion after the 3rd (or is it 4th) day.

At this point, I don't care either way. So Lyra Jane's addition is fine by me.

If we can amend 4 like that I'm in favor of it. Have we announced text as a final version? Ah checking press, the wording was only announced as a draft. So we can modify.

Formal voting hasn'y been announced and won't be until midnight.

We announced the proposal (which propsed voting), but are up for revisions up to midnight tonight.
