Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think it's to be UK safe -- which means I just white font everything I think is the current season because it saves math.

Art Crawl!!!

But in NAFDA threads?

I understand in non-NAFDA threads. . . I wasn't aware before this week that we were (for example) not spoiling Angel in NAFDA Buffy or Firefly threads.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I wasn't aware before this week that we were (for example) not spoiling Angel in NAFDA Buffy or Firefly threads.

I think that when Buffy and Angel were both on the WB, it was easier, because everybody either got both shows or neither, and the people who had one of those stations where WB shows were shown on a different channel were caught up by the end of the week. Now that we've got some people who watch, say, Angel on time, but have to wait for tapes for Buffy, it's making it more difficult. I think that some tape fairies are waiting until a tape is full, then sending six weeks worth of episodes, so we can't really assume that everyone's caught up within a week or two.

I've got no problem with whitefonted discussions. It seems like there aren't too many of them, anyway. If the seasons start shaping up so that there's much more of a connection between the plotlines, then there might be a problem, but it seems like for now, whitefonting the current season ought to work. Since we are so far into the season, though, maybe it could be that, say, once new episodes start, everything up to the end of November sweeps is OK, since most people would have gotten caught up during the reruns. But we can't know that for sure, so I guess I don't really know on this one.

Our wings are not tired.

I think the whitefont will only become a big factor if the shows get involved in parallel or crossover story line developments. The quick-edit is easy enough but it will be very frustrating for the tape delayed to nothing to see here, move right along see the frequency of big blank spots increasing dramatically.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

A specific example: I just sent Jim & Fiona tapes with the last of the aired Firefly's and Buffy through episode 7.10. I haven't sent them the last Angel yet ("Apocolypse Nowish" or whatever it's called). They probably won't get that episode until some time in February.

They are, however, not viewers in NAFDA space, and this wasn't something that was done at WX, it's something that just started happening here, and only after it became an issue in Firefly. It wasn't really discussed, it just sort of occurred, and if you weren't in the Firefly thread, you weren't in the loop on it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

That's not my impression. I feel like it's something we've been asking people to do in the Buffy and Angel threads for a while.

I remember that back on TT we usually asked people to whitefont until the end of the week on the Buffy and Angel threads, so that people who got WB shows on other stations on Saturdays could catch up. I can't remember when we started asking to whitefont for the whole current season.

Sometime this season. The Canadians being a day behind us, there was some taunting in whitefont when they were doing the standard Monday Buffy taunting. Anyhow, like Victor and I said, if it becomes an issue, we can revisit it then. If it doesn't, well, it's just a little whitefont.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

No, I'm with Plei. It just kind of... happened. I'm pretty sure it was never covered in Bureaucracy (before now).

For what it's worth, I'm happy to whitefont for some sort of span of time, given that there are enough NAFDA folks who are on delay that it's worth it (which it seems that there are). Sounds like the consensus is to revisit the issue of a set time limit if there turns out to be some sort of need to discuss one show in the other topic, and otherwise we treat NAFDA Buffy as an Unamerican zone for Angel purposes? Is that a fair summary?
