I will be dark this weekend because I'm going to Balticon.

Birth, death, illness, new job, vacation...if it's happening to you and you want us to know about it, post it here. These threads are intended for announcements only. Want to offer sympathy or congratulations, or talk about anything? Take it to Natter. Any natter here will be deleted.
Going gray again for the weekend...off to the Indy 500.
Going dark for the weekend, out to see visiting relatives in Redlands...
Then probably various shades of still quite dim during the next week as many of you will be HERE!!!, and I'll be talking to you without a keyboard.
I am at BayCon and am thus being very dark (darker than usual). I return home on Monday and expect to leapfrog through everything on Tuesday.
I just graduated from college, yo.
I have a headache.
So I just got the news this past week and details are being worked out, but it looks like I'll be going out to the Yale School of Drama to teach a master class for a couple of days in late August/early September. Guest lecture at Yale, me! Wow!
Going Dark Grey in about (checks) ten minutes for a week and a half.
See some of you in L.A.!
Posted in Natter on Peoplesforum, but reposting here, because it seems like a good idea:
I'm officially pre-orderable at Amazon!
Whoohoo! Buffistas are home again! Deb's all publishy! I voted for Tim-love! ita rocks the house!
And with that, I'll be entering my annual summer (unless you're antipodean, in which case, winter) state of either mildly dark (borrowed connections) or wildly active (bored stone senseless).
But I'll also be in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, Kansas and Texas. So if you're there, and wanna say hi...email me. I realize some of those are large states, but still!
First, Congrats to Deb G!
Not to rain on the celebration of the board's return (I missed you all) but simply to follow-up my last post here: J's father finally died last week. (He was most certainly of the Do Not Go Gentle school, hanging on for over four months after the doctor's first gave him 24 hours.) And Life goes on (as is its habit).
