I have an update from our dear Miss Amyth. You may recall that she had surgery a few weeks back due to an infection in her hip. Unfortunately, she is now facing the infection in both hips and is undergoing emergency surgery this weekend. Then they have to find an antibiotic that the bacteria isn't resistant to and they are running out of options there. She's trying to stay hopeful and has asked for the palliative care team to be added to her team to help with the pain. Looks like she'll be in the hospital for a while.
[Update: her various doctors and specialists in oncology, infectious diseases, and orthopedics have differing views on what next steps should be. So, and MRI is in the offing, Amy thinks most likely in the middle of the night. They *have* found antibiotics to combat the bacteria, but with a terrible side-effect of suppressing bone marrow production. In the words of Roseanne Roseannadanna, it's always something.]

I'm going to be a grandma!! Bobby and Tate gave their dads sonogram pictures to surprise them for Father's Day. The future grandmas knew earlier because you can't hide this stuff from moms.
To the best of my knowledge, Connie's family have chosen not to publish an obituary for her. She was a keen genealogist, and as this would have vexed her on behalf of later researchers - well.

Could I please get some health~ma? Been in the ER since this morning with abdominal pain. Blood sugar is also high. I'm more than a little freaked out.
Posting on behalf of esse, who wanted people to know the news but isn't up to posting about it themself: Their dad has been moved into hospice and is in the final days of his life. And love you can send to esse and their family would be appreciated. If you want their snail mail, email me and I can give it to you.
esse's dad passed last night. As Kristen said, any love you want to send would be deeply appreciated.
