And the thing is, I like my evil like I like my men: evil. You know, straight up, black hat, tied to the train tracks, soon my electro-ray will destroy metropolis BAD.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Some apartment~ma for K-Bug would be greatly appreciated. What should have been simple has turned into a very frustrating situation and they are out on the hunt again.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

If I could get some house-ma, I'd appreciate it...Or, actually, some Resonable-Counter-Ma. We're putting in an offer on a house today.

Why yes, we are going for the hetero-normative life milestones hat trick, why do you ask?

eta: Not pregnant. Possibly getting a dog, but not a baby.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

You guys were a huge part of how and why I was able to graduate and fulfill my dream of teaching.

I just wanted to give you a little peek into what I've been doing with my gift.

The second graders at my school just finished a unit and action project centering around immigration, refugees, and children's rights.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Well, folks, we have some sad news to announce: we are divorcing. This is Lisa's decision, but there was no cheating or abuse by Dave. After some years of struggle, Lisa felt that our needs and weaknesses were at conflict with each other in a way that could no longer be reconciled. While this was not the future we had both hoped for together, we feel grateful to have had the time together that we did, and for the grace that has been shown to us throughout this difficult process.

We are wrapping up Hope in Transit and the Traveling Music School a bit early this school year to accommodate our new situation, however the decision to conclude the work we were doing was made prior to this and is unrelated. There is still a good bit of paperwork that will need to be done to conclude the company's functioning, so we will continue to work as Hope in Transit for a few more months until all that is completed. We are also selling our house in Arizona, so Lisa will remain there initially until that is done.

Moving forward, Dave will be based in Indianapolis, where he can better support his mother, and will be a full-time touring musician. Lisa will be working in the music industry out of Nashville and LA. (Seabiscuit is going with Dave.)

We are deeply appreciative of the love and support that many of you have shown us over the past years. If you would like to offer messages of support, you may email 2017daveandlisa@gmail.com, however we will not necessarily be able to respond personally to this address at this time. We would ask you to respect our privacy as we continue to journey through this tough time.

- Dave & Lisa

Coding and Sleeping

If there are KC-area Buffistas who need to fix their car and are a little short on cash, I can help out if the repair and the type of car is in my wheelhouse. Can't do it real often because of time, but I have a decent set of tools and I like to help out friends if I can.

Not javachik

Java the real cat was put to sleep at home next to me late this afternoon, after a medical emergency this morning made it clear that it was time. He was 20 and a half years old... Just about as long as I've owned this house by myself. He was a really special cat with an extra dose of personality and confidence, and I was lucky to get to live with him. I'll miss him. My beautiful boy.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

We are sad to announce that we had to let Seabiscuit go today. He was just about fifteen years old, and had been our faithful companion through the last thirteen years of our life and work. He met many of you as students and campers and general dog friends, and all of our lives have been the richer for having him in them.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I have some very sad news to share. This is from BC's (Omnis) timeline where his friend posted on behalf of his family. He has little time left and is unable to post on his own.

~~~~~UPDATE 5/2~~~~~ Friends, Patty and Dawn (BC's mom and sister) would like everyone to know how much they appreciate your calls, texts, and visits to BC. They have lifted him during this time, more than you can know. As BC's condition progresses, he is no longer able to receive visitors. He is sending his love to each and every one of you, who has been such an important part of his life. We will be so pleased to read him any messages that you would like to send. There has been very little pain so far, and we are incredibly grateful for that blessing. Perhaps his MD has created a neuro-blocker of sorts? We don't know. Please continue to pray and wish for his peace, and also to wish his family strength during this time.
