Releasing the ~ma; all is well. Thank you.
Could I get some of that ~ma for my friend Terry? He's hanging in there and his condition has improved enough that he's got a chance so there's a lot of hoping and praying going around. He was awake and aware today when one of our friends talked to him and I'm just hoping for the best right now.
Hi everyone! I'm starting the 8-weeks-out run up to Cloudbound soon, plus the 6-weeks-out run to the Updraft paperback. If you're a library requester (ILU), a book-pusher (ILU), a pre-orderer (ILUUUU), or generally like free stuff (ILU2!), keep an eye out. There will be a bunch of that, some preview chances, plus an amazing thing Raq and I are working on. If you see me on your media feeds, and feel like boosting, I will not only share my undying gratitude, but also will save some swag for you when next our paths cross.
My friend Terry passed away this morning at 42. He'd battled heart problems and diabetes for years and his body just wore out.
Thanks for thinking of him, guys, and if you could keep his family in your thoughts, that would be amazing.
I posted this on FB, from one of my locked LJ/DW posts, but this is the person he was: "He's always thinking about and looking out for other people. He's genuinely kind, even with everything life has thrown at him and continues to throw at him, and god knows, he deserves a break from it."
He's no longer in pain and even if he'd made it through this crisis, his quality of life wouldn't have been good. That said, I wish he were still with us, at least for a little while.
My 96 year old grandmother is in extreme pain from gallsstones. The normal courselves of action would be surget bit at her age that's really dangerous.
Id appreciate some health~ma for her.
Update on my Grandma...she had one surgery and tomorrow she's having an endoscopic procedure but if that doesnt do what it is supposed to she will have surgery again. Continued health~ma would be appreciated.
Had a bit of a scare today, Mom went to the ER early this morning with abdominal pains. The doctors ruled out a recurrence of her pancreatitis from 6 years ago, and her EKG, CT scan, and blood tests all came back good. She's home now and feeling OK under the influence of IV painkillers.
Please wish her not-actually-anything-wrong~ma.
Most of you know that my parents spend August and part of September in Italy. They are OK; the earthquake was much farther north (central Italy) than they are (on the sole of the boot near the ball of the foot). The devastation is incredible. Whole towns are gone. If you'd like to help, here are a few ways: [link]
