Our wings are not tired

I'll be mostly dark until Sunday or Monday, I'm out in Minneapolis attending a theatre conference and doubt that I'll be doing much more than checking e-mail. Check my profile if you'd like to drop a note, or drop me an AIM message, I'll leave that in my profile as well. I'll probably have IM running on my SideKick on and off while I'm out of town.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Just received this confirmation email from Nancy Carlson at Ball State University regarding Jane Espenson speaking there this Friday:

"12 noon, AJ 175, public talk, "Writing Buffy" see you then."

Road Trip!!!

Our wings are not tired.

I feel totally silly reporting my trip here, but perhaps someone will wonder if I have run away to the islands and abandoned all of you. I am off to Spring Break camping near Key West. I will be picking up my email via cell phone frequently because that is my life, so toss something in there not business related if you want. I don't plan on hearing any television or radio for the next few days and intend to delude myself into thinking life is only about playing in the surf until Monday reality hits again.

Peace and love to my treasured Buffistas.

Thrive to spite them

Today there was the Awards Ceremony for the School. I received certificates for two OCPs (Occupational Certificition Point). One was for General Office (which I made an A in earlier) and the other was Clerical Support/Secretary, I haven't recieved my grade in that yet.

I was the only person who started this quarter to recieve two OCP certificates.

edited to clarify---I need two more certificates in order to finish the Legal Secretary program, I just started the third. I began the program in Jan, they say it takes just over a year to finish but I'll definitly be done in less than a year.

Another social casualty...

I'm going dark gray for a long weekend with family in the middle of the Mojave Desert. Be good and stay safe.

Uh, never done this before. I'm a Beep Me virgin!

Going dim till Wednesday night as I'll be visiting the 'rents in New York, and I have to fight my dad for the only computer. Watching Buffy Tuesday night with a Buffy friend for the First Time Ever (I live in a state with no Buffy fans). Happy happy.

I'm going on vacation. So I will be pretty much unreachable, beginning tomorrow morning, until March 28th.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Two things:

Positive vibes requested for my friend Sean, who is currently in Cairo, which, while not ground zero, is probably not the safest place for an American to be right now. He's a smart boy, but he takes risks, and... I worry. I can't help it. Fer chrissake, he wants to be a war correspondent; when he told me that, I joked, "So that basically means that I'm going to spend the rest of our lives worrying about your safety? Thanks for that." I didn't know I'd have to start so soon.

Also, Angus and plasmo, can we get together for dinner or drinks sometime on Sunday? I'm leaving Monday morning and I've got tentative plans for Saturday, but I'd really like to see you both again before I leave Melbourne. Email me and we'll figure something out.
