I'm going on vacation. So I will be pretty much unreachable, beginning tomorrow morning, until March 28th.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Two things:

Positive vibes requested for my friend Sean, who is currently in Cairo, which, while not ground zero, is probably not the safest place for an American to be right now. He's a smart boy, but he takes risks, and... I worry. I can't help it. Fer chrissake, he wants to be a war correspondent; when he told me that, I joked, "So that basically means that I'm going to spend the rest of our lives worrying about your safety? Thanks for that." I didn't know I'd have to start so soon.

Also, Angus and plasmo, can we get together for dinner or drinks sometime on Sunday? I'm leaving Monday morning and I've got tentative plans for Saturday, but I'd really like to see you both again before I leave Melbourne. Email me and we'll figure something out.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Going dark for the weekend. First stop: Ball State University to see Jane Espenson speak. Then off to my dad's for his birthday and some family insanity fun.

"Passion, though a bad regulator, is a powerful spring." — Ralph Waldo Emerson

I got accepted to the Study Abroad program at King's College. I'm going to be in London next year!

Gradh tu fhein

Yay Holli.

I hope I can post this here.
I've lost my best best friend. His name is Ben Batham and he left for Newcastle uni. 9 years ago. I saw him once about 2 years ago so I know he's alive. It has been 2 years now since he last made contact. I've known Ben since we were both babies and it is unlike him to go so long without contacting me. I know his father well, he doesn't know where Ben is either. I haven't spoken to his mom since I last saw him. I believe he is in London, in the city.
I am worried and hope he will contact me ASAP.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I'm off to Hawaii, where I plan to leave the TV off as much as possible. See y'all in a week!
