"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

ltc just received an awesome tea dragon art print. Unfortunately the attached message seems to have cut off before naming the gifter. The message does mention the internet; so, I think it is probably a buffista. Whoever you are, we love it, and you are awesome!

All is well that ends in pizza.

So, yesterday, my mom, was working outside and fell and broke her hip.

Of course, she managed to pull herself up n the picnic table to wait to go to the hospital.

I spoke to her earlier, she is going in for surgery this afternoon.

Any vibes, prayers or ~ma is appreciated.

Mom update:

My sister reports that mom started having a couple of bouts with chest pain this morning after hip surgery yesterday, and was hurting all over, so she was transported by ambulance to Fargo for tests this afternoon.

My niece C reports that mom hasn't been found to have any new heart issues. The doctors think she was having a panic attack, but best to be sure with the heart surgery two years ago. C also reports that Mom is laughing and joking and 100% better than she was in Fergus Falls.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

September 8th marks a year from my father-in-law's death. In his memory, the SO has started an event to replicate one of the things he used to do in secret. [link]

Head to your local grocery, find someone (or ask management) who seems like they could use a hand, and pay for twenty bucks of their grocery bill. More details at the Facebook event linked.

I was informed that I had the option to come voluntarily or be frog-marched here in shackles in order to tell everyone and give details about the fact that I am now engaged, so I have come voluntarily. Deets in Natter. I'll provide a link once I've made my post.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Going to the hospital for minor outpatient surgery tomorrow at 1 PM - general anesthesia which I have a greater fear of than is rational; but this is something I do NOT want to be awake for. Will be house bound for a week after.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Move~ma for the next four days, please, for my folks! It's the big day today, we're all packed up and the movers should be here shortly. Tonight I'll pick my sister up from the airport, the buyer will have their final walkthrough, then tomorrow they'll close on the house, and my sister will drive them to Dallas! It'll take them three days to get there, and I'll be headed home during that same time.

It's all been going really well, but moving is always hard, and moreso when you're 76 & 78. Mom has been doing so well, but she's s worrier, so calm~ma for her would be good. And Dad's doing super on his Parkinson's meds, but this is a big undertaking.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

This is a cross post from FB.

The horse therapy program I've been working with since January just won a "free" Gypsy Vanner horse named Challenger. He will be a wonderful addition to our program and allow us to serve even more clients for many years to come!

I put the free in quotes because there are added costs just to bring him home, such as the cost of transporting him from Tennessee ($800), providing major medical insurance for the first year ($300) and having a vet check his health upon arrival ($125). These costs were not budgeted for as we had no idea that we would be able to win one of these fantastic horses.

Donations can be made online at: Colorado Gives-The Right Step. Direct your donation to the "Bring our Gypsy Home" fund. Checks or cash can be put in the donation box at the barn or mailed to The Right Step, P.O. Box 721, Littleton, CO 80160-0721. Every penny helps!

Thank you for your support! With your help, we will have our Gypsy home by mid-November at the latest!
