Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Daniel and I just got back from the veterinarian with Harvey - learning how to give subQ fluids. During his regular check-up they found he is in chronic kidney failure. Age-related, as he is 17. Kitty~ma requested, please and thank you.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

So I have just completed a short book that intend to see published as a free e-book. It is only 50,000 words, but thanks to my eyesight, what should have been done in six weeks took close to six months. Its current working title is "No Hair Shirts Energy Policy for Greece".

One of the reasons I've been so dark grey, is that pretty much every minute I'm not doing chores or medical stuff or working out has been spent on this book. My TV watching has been confined to during work outs, or when my eyes are too dilated from medical treatments to interact with a computer screen. (You can follow a tv show pretty well just seeing fuzzy outlines of the characters and scenery, though I'm sure I miss a lot of nuance.) I've also rationed my time on social medai pretty stringently. I think the result is good; I could spend another six months editing it, but I think it is fairly urgent to get out.

I'm sitting in a videoconference suite downtown waiting for my interview. Wish me luck, or at least not to completely melt down.

If anyone has the knowledge to figure out why my keyboard won't work correctly, if you could call me. I've done the usual attempts, using my phone, but the problem is so weird, I hoped someone would have the solution.

If anyone has any possibilities, you can ask/ answer them in Tech, where I will put my phone number and readact it later. Thanks, all. I really really really need to be able to type on my laptop.

ETA Never mind. I have to send it back to HP to be fixed, it is a hardware problem. Which means I will be without my laptop for almost two weeks and I am just dropped. Come to think of it. Anyway, thanks!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

This morning we welcomed Jane Evelyn Doyle into our family! Everyone is doing great. I'm exhausted but elated. We may even get to go home as soon as tomorrow.

There's a picture up on my FB page, and no doubt more to come.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I threw this out on FB but wanted to share this here too. For anyone who followed my afghan project, I posted every step to keep myself accountable which really helped me complete the project.

Now I'm starting a new project. I asked folks on FB to pick a number between 1 and 100 and I had about 40 people choose a number. The new project has 100 different, small patterns and I want to make each and then share them with my friends. If you are interested, please send a note to my profile addy with your address. You can pick a number and if it hasn't been picked already, I'll put you in for that slot, otherwise I'll pick a number for you at random.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Now we are three.

Gary and I are in the process of adopting a baby boy. The adoption is in a different state than the one where we live, so we are in a hotel with the baby, waiting for the legal paperwork to go through.

Hey, I haven't been posting too much here, but I have been lurking every day because my laptop keys are not working and typing long messages on my phone makes me feel kind of stupid and fumblefingered.

Anyway the meat of my message: I am having a casual soiree for my 43rd birthday on August 22nd, Saturday.

If any Buffistas in the area or from more far-flung climes are interested in the possibility of attending my casual soiree, please drop me a line on Facebook and I will give you the deets on the actual events page.

So! Thanks all!
