Every nightmare I have that doesn't revolve around academic failure or public nudity is about that thing. In fact, once I dreamt that it attacked me while I was late for a test and naked.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

For those not on FB, I learned after an MRI this week that I will not be able to run the marathon I've been training for since November. I'm pretty bummed. But it's not a stress fracture, which they'd feared; it's just really bad bursitis. That means some time of complete rest (no running, no elliptical, limited walking), but I will make a complete recovery and start training for several more half marathons this year. My next one is in May. I plan to try again for the LA Marathon next year. Thanks for your support and for those who donated to my run. The dogs at Westside so appreciate it. I hope you'll consider supporting my second attempt next year.

Compassionately intolerant

I am humbly asking for click-votes for the Washington City Paper "Best of" list for 2015.

In 2013, I realized that they did not have a Best Life Coach category, which seemed odd since there is a category for best place to buy fur handcuffs. (not kidding)

So, I worked with their very cool staff for two years and here it is!

I sincerely want to reach as many people as I can and would be so grateful for any and every email address you can spare.

The best news is, they do NOT spam and any email address will do.

The link will open in a new window.

Many, many thanks...this is my version of asking for ~ma for a new job!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Have been, as the kids so cleverly say, future endeavored. Taking the rest of the week off before I start hunting.

Our wings are not tired

Some Buffista ~ma this afternoon and evening would be appreciated. My business is auditioning tonight to pick up a new long term contract. It would be managing the audio duties for another business unit with a client I already work for. We are providing equipment and mix support for a band tonight to prove that we know what we are doing and can give the client a good mix.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

If we have any Buffistas in San Jose, or who have connections in San Jose, can you guys shoot me a message at the profile address? I'm trying to help a friend and her husband out with their apartment hunt in that area.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Looking for some research help, particularly on fecal transplants as connected to mental health treatment. Librarians and clinical study folks, can you help me find studies and research and parse the good science from the woo woo? My sister is in crisis again and we are exploring all modalities. I have volunteered to look into poop. There's a website called Power of Poop with links to abstracts, but not full articles. I know right now in the U.S. it's only approved as an experimental treatment for C. Diff, but I'm trying to see what might be on the horizon.

eta other promising treatments are also good. ECT was tried years ago and proved ineffective.

Relatedly, any mental health~ma and coping~ma you can send towards NC would be greatly appreciated.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

In case you don't follow the Buffista FB group, here's some photos from the Chicagoista (& SailAweigh) mini-f2f at an Ethiopian restaurant Friday night:

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

The farmer who rented his goats to us has lost all of them to a barn fire (a herd of 100). This is devastating and many of us are near tears here at work for the loss of what had become our friends. If you can, please go to [link] and click on the gofundme button to help Larry and Ann rebuild their business.

Thanks.

I know we have unemployed and underemployed Buffistas, and I know we have early riser Buffistas. Hoping to find an overlap in someone who can give me a wake up call (literally) M-Th at 5:30 am CST (6:30 am EST). Willing to pay $40 or so monthly, price negotiable. Profile addy good. Many thanks, your snoozing friend, smonster.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

So apparently, the first offer on our rental that we are selling has fallen through (it was supposed to close in about three weeks), but the back up offer is still a go.

Any thoughts or vibes towards hastening the removal of the albatross of our first house would be greatly appreciated.
