I know we have unemployed and underemployed Buffistas, and I know we have early riser Buffistas. Hoping to find an overlap in someone who can give me a wake up call (literally) M-Th at 5:30 am CST (6:30 am EST). Willing to pay $40 or so monthly, price negotiable. Profile addy good. Many thanks, your snoozing friend, smonster.
If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me
Birth, death, illness, new job, vacation...if it's happening to you and you want us to know about it, post it here. These threads are intended for announcements only. Want to offer sympathy or congratulations, or talk about anything? Take it to Natter. Any natter here will be deleted.
So apparently, the first offer on our rental that we are selling has fallen through (it was supposed to close in about three weeks), but the back up offer is still a go.
Any thoughts or vibes towards hastening the removal of the albatross of our first house would be greatly appreciated.
The contest is over. Won't know the results until April 9!!
Thanks to everyone for their support.
Attention lurkers/others who want to support us in email FB:
If you want to request to join the FB group, please drop a line to one of the admins over there or here on the board. We get a bunch of requests from people we can't identify. If you have some mutual friends we'll figure it out, but otherwise the request will likely be declined.
I think there are still enough former Bronzers active here, that this post is kosher.
Bronzers, my precious(es), we have lost another of our own. It is valMichael (aka the Birthday Gnome).
Here's the text of the announcement:

I have only been able to contact a few of his friends directly so I will put up a general posting to this board's users.
Long time poster on this board, Michael Mclellan ( valMichael ) was hospitalized last month. There are informational postings starting on February 28th.
He had begun to improve and it appeared he would recover from this latest problem. Unfortunately this hope was premature.
Mike passed away this AM. His ending seemed peaceful and without pain.
If any one wants more information, I will put my email at the end of this.
He really loved this board and the people on it. My thanks to all of you for providing him with such enjoyment during the last part of his life.

Forgive me if this should go in Business:
I have 500 new and AWESOME business cards. If anyone would like me to send them some to hand out or to place at places they work at or frequent, where my services might be needed, hit me up at wordslingeuse@gmail.com with your addy, and how many cards you would like.
(They're so PRETTY and perfect for me!)
Thanks, Stompies. Over and out.
It's me again, with a personal request I HATE making, but as a business owner trying to get her bz and financial life back on track, I have to bite the bullet.
SO.
I have a HUGE favor to ask. If I have ever helped you in any way with writing ANYTHING or a resume , cover letters, or editing/copyediting and/or critiquing a manuscript, I really need testimonials for a site called Thumbtack, which will help expand my client base.
Your email address and your name would be anonymous.
If you could go to this link here: [link] and write a short, honest review of my awesomeness (hopefully awesomeness) I would be really grateful!
Ask me any questions, no problem, And if any of you lovely people DO do this for me, a million million heartfelt thanks from me!
(I HATE asking, it feels so gross and icky, but I KNOW I have to to build my client base and make, you know, money.)
I got into school (PhD in Information and Library Science), with a merit assistantship to boot! Stipend + tuition + health insurance, and they can't make me work more than 15 hrs a week on top of classes and homework. Thanks everybody for the ~ma!
Can anyone hook me up with a marine engineer, or other expert who can answer a technical question on freight ships? Profile addy is good.
As anyone in natter knows, I just bought a house! Still have to go through closing, but still. Me, by myself, on my own...a house. Ok, a townhouse. So the exterior is maintained by the HOA...but MINE.
Anyway - I'd love any advise on home ownership and maintenance. If you know of a good book or something that is a good resource for me to get - I'll take that too. Hit me up at my profile addy.
