Going to be dark for approximately the next week, as I road trip across the Midwest.
Take care.

Happy Saturday too good for regular Natter! First, did our taxes and thanks in part to some new tax credit I'd never heard of, we're getting $2100 back! Go graduate school and unemployment!
Second, we found the perfect house to rent! It's a bungalow, built 1920, 3 br, hardwoods throughout, built-in glass cabinets, working fireplace, front porch swing, for $$ which is good in local terms. And in a perfect location so I can walk to work instead of the 3 hours daily on a bus I've been doing since Sept. (For locals, it's in Trinity Park).
Hereby passing on housema to them as needs it, especially Nutty who I know needs it, and Anne who is looking to buy.
Just got pre approved for a house/condo loan. Housema is appreciated.
Wrist is broken. Will br reading but not typing much, probably, for next several weeks...
I don't know if this is appropriate placement, but I didn't know where else to put it.
I got an email from an unknown-to-me address this morning: buffys999@hotmail.com, entitled something like, "Some questions". The file was 167Kb and included an attachment. I deleted it, because it smelled like a virus. On the off-chance a Buffista was trying to contact me, please let me know ahead of time. Thanks.
anti-hurty vibes to meara
This crazy job. It drives me nuts, it's occasionally very stressful, I have to deal with frustrating people, and coworkers are leaving.
So what do they do? They give me a 10% raise.
Now I feel guilty for goofing off on the board so much.
I have offers in hand for both the jobs I've been picking apart in Natter. New-old job isn't official official, but I've been told by someone with sufficient authority to rely upon that it's mine for the taking.
I'm leaning towards new-old, for reasons I'll detail in Natter once I'm caught up.
WOOHOO!
So, the agency I regeistered with today is faxing my resume to a CPA firm this afternoon for an interview possibility, and I have an interview tomorrow at 11 am with a company I emailed yesterday!
As much jabma as available would be highly appreciated.
I could use some jobma this way, please. Everything I'm applying for, I'm getting rejected, even things I'm eminently qualified for. I'm currently applying to work at my father's alma mater in Ohio - not where I wanted to move, but pretty enough country, I'd say.
Recent events in my life are rapidly coming to a head: some good (the rights to DH's last book have finally been straightened out and a second edition is forthcoming; I'm starting one with a friend in Sydney; Kenny will receive the internship at the Aviary in September -- he will be the youngest person ever to do so, as it is usually given to college students) and some bad (my biological family and I have reached the boiling point, and I intend to clear things up or legally cut them off by the end of this month; DH's father's Alzheimer's has made alliance by rapidly worsening health, and his death will unleash a shitstorm amongst the remaining family) . . . .
Anyway. The upshot is that even the enormously reduced time I've been spending here is too much, and I will be going dark for the foreseeable future. It's been fun.
