This is D posting for Strix. Hi, btw. It's lovely to meet you all. She is home from surgery. Everything went well, 5 screws and a metal plate. She says hello and she will be back posting as soon as she is not (in her own words) "a woozy fruit loop."

A little ~ma for the family would not go amiss. I talked to my dad this morning. They are waiting for word on Mom's biopsy and at the same time, my brother fell off a bicycle and fractured his kneecap. My father is currently shuttling between the ER and my mom's hospital room and freaking out.
going more gray than usual for a couple weeks on the road!
I'd like to request some buffista health~ma for my cousin, who's currently in the hospital due to her bad reaction to her heart meds. It's not a heart attack like she'd originally feared, but she's been going through a rough couple of days and at 87 any hospital stay is worrisome.
Fuck 2012, and fuck cancer. My mother has just succumbed to leukemia: "It's always sudden."
Wrod. My mom's tests came back positive for colon cancer.
I'd like some -ma for my brother, whom I know I've bitched about as kind of a drama llama, but he is in a spot, professionally speaking...maybe he needs job -ma, or finance-ma? Also, he must chill. Thanks. And if anyone in the west needs somebody with a bunch of insurance experience or a master's in Interdisciplenary Studies, send me some e and I'll put you in touch.
Mom update: her cancer is not an aggressive type. If she takes the chemo, she has a 80-90% chance that the cancer will not return within five years. She will start 12 sessions of chemo once her surgery is healed.
She has returned home from the nursing home and seems to be doing very well.
Thanks for all the ~ma!
Never mind, crisis averted!
