You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Wallybee and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary last weekend, in honour of which we had some family photos taken. I've now uploaded them, starting here: [link]

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Requesting some health~ma for my father. I just found out he has been diagnosed with prostrate cancer and began his 2 month treatment yesterday. This year has not been kind to him. It's like the warranty expired on his body, so everything is breaking or something.

My nephew Reece is on his way home after 87 days in the NICU! Thanks for all the ~ma!

~ma for my mom, please.

She fell and bumped her head - bleed in brain, serious but not critical, no loss of function, they are watching her in ICU, neurosurgeon on stand-by if needed. She also broke her left wrist and right hand. My sister is with her. I'll go up tomorrow. Talked to her (Mom), and she sounds remarkably good, considering.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

So my mom had to go into surgery this morning at 6a, because her speech started slurring and there was some weakness. She just got out; the surgeon said he accomplished everything he was aiming to and that it went well; they were able to drain, cauterize, and close (instead of having to leave the skull open). Now it's wait and see whether there's any brain damage, issue, compromise. Whatever the words are.

Pretty sure I am, at the moment, coasting on relief that she made it through surgery and not borrowing trouble since no one will know effects of the bleed/surgery until she's awake.

Thanks for all of your well-wishes and ~ma, and I'm carrying those posts forward to recovery mode now. ~ma posts don't expire.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

All,

I would appreciate any 'ma you could send my way from about 8a-2pm PT on Monday. I have a job "interview" and I would like things to go well, to impress people.

I also would like my partner to find a job he likes in the area and that negotiations will go well.

Good news to update with -- my mother is doing great post-surgery. Nurses and doctors (and her family!) are thrilled with how she's doing. She's passing all of her neuro tests with flying colors, talking, physically responsive (as much as humanly possible with a broken left arm and broken right hand). Mostly she's sleeping, of course, which is as it should be. Tomorrow they'll be getting her up out of bed.

Her two grandsons and their wives came to visit today, which was awesome and she loved, of course. All signs are just amazingly good.

Thanks for the ~ma, all.
