Daniel's being transferred to a hospital up in the cities.
Hi all,
I am safely tucked away in Aabott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Room H7210, for now.
Long story...
When I took the gig of reviewing The Simpsons, I was wondering why my editor kept whispering "poisoned chalice" at me. If have the stomach for AVC commenters, you can see that they absolutely hated my meager attempts to have fun with the Simpson premiere. I guess I should stick to bone-dry recap.
SFistas - I am coming to your fair city on October 15th and 16th. I do not have all my details planned out yet, but see F2F thread for more details.
Yes, there is a bit of improvement. Infectious diseases specialist said today that Daniel will likely need to be in the hospital for at least another two weeks. He also said that it looks like a staph infection. The wound care team said long-term IV antibiotics (I'm not really sure if that means weeks or months).
If I could get some of the Buffista -ma for my mom, I'd really appreciate it. I just found out she's in the hospital, mostly due to dehydration (I won't go into details on why that doesn't surprise me apart from the fact that she barely consumes any liquids on a daily basis). It seems things are OK, but the worry is going to be the there until she's home.
Update on Mom - she's doing good. They'll keep her until Monday as a precaution, but it looks like she had a bad GI reaction to a couple of meds she just started taking. The doctor on her case is going to help her streamline how many meds she has to take a day (something she hated doing, because she had to take so many). We'll see how things go from here.
Thanks for the well wishes.
