not your mom's socks.

If there's ~ma to spare after Jilli gets heaps of it, some standardized-test-fu~ma around 8am est tomorrow would be fantastic. Some good-outcome~ma tomorrow for DH as he deals with a co-worker who threw him under the bus today would be even better.

OK - Senior editor thinks a new title for my book is essential to get it accepted by committees. I've described the book in Great White Way, so suggestion would be very welcome.

Friday morning (not sure what time) in Orlando, FLA, my BiL will be at a job interview. He's been out of work since retiring from USMC, about 3 years, which has stressed my sister out a lot. This is the first interview that doesn't involve a job in the Green Zone or Afghanistan. Please, some of the patented Buffista Job~ma that he gets this well paying job. Thank you!!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'd like to ask for some good surgery ~ma tomorrow afternoon PST. My MiL is going in for brain surgery tomorrow. We're hoping that the tumor is as operable as they think it is. Everyone is a little worried here, but also hopeful.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Sending good vibes, Burrell.

Releasing the ma that I was using. Plane trip a success. At 2 1/2 hours into the ORD to HNL leg, i started a panic attack, but nothing went full blown. My ride from the airport picked me up with a paddle board tied to the car and within an hour of landing in HNL, I was in the Pacific. Special thanks to dcp for suggestions that saved my sanity and Amy for promising that I'd arrive safely.

My book is back before the boards and committees under consideration for publication. "Please say yes" ma, please.

Thanks for the Job~ma for my BiL interview on Friday. My sister finally responded with this:

It went great...the company is meeting Tues & Wed in Washington to finalize the contract with the gov't. If they are awarded the deal, the VP that interviewed Dan said he was 99.99% sure he would get the job. We will know on Friday! Thanks for thinking of us !!!

Before I release the ~ma, can we shift it to: Unknown-Company-getting-the-contract-so-my-brother-in-law-can-get-a-job~ma? (wow, that's a mouthfull)!

Thank you!!

Do any Boston area peeps travel to or through Stoughton MA on a regular basis? I found that Grossman's Bargain Outlet there has the exact rug I've been looking for but doesn't fill mail orders, and was wondering if I could ask a favor and get someone to go pick one up for me (I'd pay for any shipping and gas costs on top of the price of the rug itself, or course).

Ann, that's a ferret.

Just got back from an appointment with Max's oncologist. It doesn't look good.

He stopped eating. Which means (1) the tumor's growing, (2) the radiation didn't accomplish what we hoped it would, and (3) the chemotherapy didn't accomplish anything at all.

We're going to try a feeding tube and another round of radiation, starting tomorrow. Which is a long shot, but it's all we have left now. Though we've called our farther-away hospitals to see if there's any point in seeing them.

Some -ma for one of the nurses I come visit every month--her nephew is in critical condition (possibly brain dead) after being injured by his babysitter. The while thing just sounds awful (though at least the babysitter already confessed)
