Jayne: That's a good idea. Good idea. Tell us where the stuff's at so I can shoot you. Mal: Point of interest? Offering to shoot us might not work so well as an incentive as you might imagine.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Cool beans. The blog I write for was just named one of the best blogs of 2010 by Time magazine.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Thanks for the interview~ma! The first interview went well and I go back for a second one on Thursday. So, a little more for Thursday at 2:00pm Central time would be most appreciated, again.

Now tagless for your comfort.

If I could get a little funding~ma for the small non-profit I volunteer for that would be great. I've been working on a survey and a report to defend us to our primary funders and if it works out, I think we can still do a lot of good in the community. I'm meeting with them later this morning after submitting my report yesterday.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Hey everybody. We haven't got internet at our new place yet but I have a library card! I'll be dark grey for the near future.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

My fiance Mark's brother was killed early yesterday morning in a train accident in Washington, DC. As you can imagine, Mark and his family are just devastated. Joey was a sweet, funny, smart guy, a lot like Mark, really. He would have turned 29 next month. It is going to take the family a long time to recover from this.

Thank you for any kind thoughts, peaceful prayers, and good energy you can send our way.

Ann, that's a ferret.

It's my turn to say, "Fuck Cancer!"

Max has nasal cancer. All the vet has so far is a very short report. More details expected later today. But treatment is going to be difficult because the cancer is so close to his eye and his tongue.

Not javachik

I am RETIRING at the end of this week. Hard to believe I've been working at this place for thirty years!

I'm throwing a party in my home city on July 18th. Bocce ball starts at 10 AM, then we are moving to a nearby park for BBQ around 12:30 PM. It is dog- and very kid-friendly (little kids and bigger kids areas plus basketball, tennis, and hiking). Email profile addy if you'd like details.

Woo hoo!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Can I get some cat-ma? Teenaged-mother cat, Maggie, has a mass in her abdomen, and the vet took an ultrasound yesterday. It's one of, say, 5 things. 2 are treatable with antibiotics. 1 is treatable with surgery. 2 of them, there's nothing to be done. I'm off to the vet to get the prescription. If all goes well, she'll be feeling much better by Monday.

Oh, and if you could convince her to come out from wherever she's hiding, that would be great.
