We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know...insane.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I'm in Australia! I'm staying in Perth with my friend for a while, probably until the end of February, and then I've got until April 20 to see, well, the rest of the country. So Min, Angus, and John, expect emails from me in the next couple of days, and any other Aussie Buffista who wants to meet up somewhere along the way, email me (profile address is good). I'm so excited to be here!

ETA: I almost forgot--Happy Australia Day!

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Today, January 26th, is my one-year anniversary of posting with the Buffistas. I'm kind of giddy.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I will be away for work-related meetings, in a lovely stripmall-filled suburb of Atlanta, Monday through Wednesday. I doubt I'll be able to check the boards. Tuesday (Jan. 28) is the 3 year anniversary of my first post on the TT Buffy thread. Feel free to party without me.

There's a wonderful, cheap apartment in an adorable neighborhood. My roomate and I are going to drop off the applications today. It's much closer to BF and I'm pretty sure I can walk to work. In short, it would rock. Please vibe me a solid bank account, decent credit and landlord charming skills.

Our wings are not tired.

Eeep! Just purchased my flights to get to LA for the marathon. Arriving LAX 1:46PM March 1st and heading out 7:00AM March 3rd. I figure I am being extravagant enough with myself with the marathon entry fee and flights that I shouldn’t stay more than 2 nights. Off to check on the hotels recommended by the marathon site. (Flight was only $215, yay!)

I would love to indulge in some Buffista pampering either Saturday or Sunday. At the rate I am going I won’t finish the race until about 3PM. Hopefully I will get the pace up some before then. Of course any shouts of encouragement along the route are always appreciated. I’ll be wearing a Buffista shirt!

Profile addy is always good for coordination.

As of 2.00pm GMT today I legally adopted my real father's surname. I am now officially Zoe Finch for all things. :-)

The freezing temperatures, the mounting number of things I said I'd do that I'm just not finding time to get to, and spending the weekend doing disaster recovery are all making me something Less Than Sane.

Going dim for a while.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

This morning I mailed an application for a job that on paper looks like a providentially perfect match for my needs. It's a short-term assignment, 9-10 weeks starting the beginning of March, doing something I'm good at (the form of cat herding known as event planning) for a better hourly rate than I've ever had in my life. It looks like a perfect way to keep us in funds through tax time while I'm getting all my freelancing ducks in a row.

Anyway, it's only one of several things I'm applying for this week, but it's such a perfect fit that I'd go ahead and ask for jobma vibes to get an interview.

And it keeps getting better.

My father is probably going back into the hospital later this week for continuing heart problems -- has to get another blockage cleared.

Consider me a darker shade of dim.
