Look, Angel, I know you've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm still evil. I don't do errands...unless they're evil errands.

Interview-ma for me in two hours? Most importantly, could it be interview-ma that this job be quite clear whether I want it or not (and of course, if I do want it that they want me). Since I already have a job, I want this interview to not make me all wishy-washy, but to be like "dude, these people are awesome!" or "nahh, they're crazy and I'd hate them and they'd hate me", and not some vast middle ground of "well, *maybe* I should work there".

So, um, clarity-ma, as well, I guess...:)

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

As Firefly fans are spread hither and yon on the thread, thought I'd post this here:

Help NASA name Node 3

NASA wants your opinion in naming the International Space Station’s Node 3 – a connecting module and its cupola – before the two segments travel to space and are installed on the orbiting laboratory. The name should reflect the spirit of exploration and cooperation embodied by the space station, and follow in the tradition set by Node 1- Unity- and Node 2- Harmony.

The choices are:
Earthrise
Legacy
Venture
SERENITY

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

So it looks like one more interview with this co. that makes 10th person he will have interviewed with . But actually, given what this co wants to do -- all these interviews make sense. we are cautiously hopeful. Matt will be interviewing around 2 ( board time) tomorrow.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Some ~ma for my dad tomorrow would be very welcome. He's been having severe problems with the circulation in his hands, which has led to things being very painful, having sores that won't heal, etc. He's going in for a procedure tomorrow that may help clear things up.

He seems very sanguine about it all, but given that he makes his living through his art, this is all very scary and worrisome.

Releasing most of the jobma~~~ except the smooth transition part. Matt got a formal offer from the place of a billion interviews and has accepted it.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Stepping (again) out of the dark just to let you know, due to the terror attempt that was in Jerusalem few hours ago, that I'm fine.

Now, getting back to the dark, and to my studies.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

My dad told me last night that it looks like the surgery didn't get all of his prostate cancer. He won't know more for a couple of months when he goes back in for a follow up, but radiation or chemo is a possibility. His recovery from this surgery has been pretty miserable, too. So yeah. A little health ~ma his way would be appreciated, and a whole lot of fuck cancer.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Do we have anybody in Charlotte? I'm going to be there from March 15th to the 20th, though the 15th is really the only free day.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

My sister-in-law's brother, who I posted about a bit back as being diagnosed with terminal cancer, passed away last Friday (as, through a bunch of circumstances, mainly assumptions on my mother's part that I don't blame her for making, I just found out). He was 40. The treatments to give him a little extra time to travel or just a little extra time didn't work.

Fuck cancer.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

So, turns out my Mom had a "small" stroke on Saturday morning. Finally positively diagnosed yesterday. She gets some further testing today. She says she's really feeling the difference in walking (already not great for her with diabetes and back issues) and increased pain and she really sounds like she's getting very depressed.

Any damage not too extensive, easy recovery, positive feeling-ma would be appreciated.
