Marco: Do we look reasonable to you? Mal: Well. Looks can be deceiving. Jayne: Not as deceiving as a low down dirty... deceiver.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Calling all fans of Gilbert and Sullivan and/or me! For a recent medical writers conference, I wrote and directed a musical skit based on The Mikado. As it extols the virtue of the serial comma, I thought Buffistas would get a kick out of it. I was fortunate enough to get the whole performance on video; it's fifteen minutes long.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Calling all Boston/Somerville-istas! I'm going to be in Boston May 6 and May 7 for a training course and would love to get together for dinner and fun one of those nights. It looks like I'll be on the south side, just east of Boston Common. Interested parties should plan in the F2F thread!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Finally, the long ago aforementioned new house picspam!

I'm home!

(And thanks to the many many Buffistas who helped make it so, through direct and indirect support. You are made of win!)

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Could I get some strength and peace~ma for my sister-in-law, nephew and family? Her sister passed away today. She was the kindest, sweetest, most genuine person I've ever known and we are all going to miss Kathy very, very much.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Releasing the health-ma back into the buffistasphere. My friend's fiance had an exploratory surgery on his leg that came back negative for any bone infection, so he's been released at least a day earlier than expected. I didn't get a chance to see my friend in person, but it was for the best possible reason that I didn't see her. So yay!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I-don't-need-a-root-canal~ma would be appreciated in 30-90 minutes.

After 8:30 tonight I'll be mostly dark as one of my bffs is coming in for the weekend.

Can I please have some massive massive buffista-patented -ma for my ex? She had an ovarian cyst burst, is in tons of pain, and had her CA-125 level come back crazy and they're afraid she may have ovarian cancer. ACK?

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Can I request a little job~ma? I'm not leaving my current job, but I'm interviewing with a slew of people at my school tomorrow for the 10th grade dean position. I'd be teaching three classes and coordinating the events/student government/teacher team for 10th grade. A small stipend is also involved. I think I would be good at this job and would really like the chance to take my career to the next level.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

My good friend Tony Brown, whom many folks around here know from Livejournal and "The November 3rd Club," has been nominated to be Internet Pope Poet Laureate of the Blogosphere.

He's running close, and can use all the help he can get, so please do me a favor and give him a vote!

Tony lists his platform here.

His slogan: "Tony Brown. My phone is off at 3 AM...what the hell could be so important at 3 AM anyway? I'm a fucking poet, dammit. I can't save the fucking world. Call me after noon."
