Safe surgery ~ma requested for my kitty Byron today.

Popping by from work access to ask for ma for my niece. She is in the hospital with major heart damage, sedated on a respirator and it is touch-and-go as to whether she will make it through the day. They don't know what caused the heart damage--it may be bulimia or residual damage from her former drug use. She is only 20 and seemed in the last few months to have been turning her life around.

Upadate on niece--she is still on the respirator and in ICU, but appears to be stabilizing. They are going to move her to another hospital with a better cardiac facility. Remember how I said we thought she was doing much better in her sobriety? Not so much--the heart attack was brought on by alcohol poisoning.

Scrappy, so sorry to hear about your niece. I hope she recovers and gets sober.

Hi! Small but urgent request - I had been supposed to meet up w/ Calli down here in NOLA but phone is dead and I don't think it's going to work out anyway. Could someone please call her cell and tell her that, and then maybe post here so everyone doesn't call her?

Niece update. She is still in the coma caused by lack of oxygen during one if her heart episodes. The neurologist recommends two weeks of wait and see (and hope), but says recovery is "unlikely."

Last update: Niece is being taken off life support late tonight. Please send vibes to my Brother and his family around midnight Eastern time.

The one good thing is that her organs are all being donated, so some positive will come out of this sadness.

Health~ma requested for my aunt. She just found out she has a tumor on her ovary.

This is going to sound so freaking weird.

Does anyone remember reviewing/editing a Buffy script back in 2002-3 that I wrote?

Short version, I wrote it for giggles, send it out to folks for comments/edits, got comments back and then promptly forget about it for years.

Fast forward to earlier this year. I had a couple old hard drives that I finally backed up onto a new external hard and came across the script and the various comments and suggested edits that I saved.

And just like that, it became an open loop that needed to be closed. Something that was posted in response during the WGA strike made me realize that I had walked away from it since it seemed to be futile, something that never would go anywhere. But the whole point (this was the David Milch's videos) was to just do it and not worry about the point, what the script was for, and just let the script be itself.

So when I finished the Serenity RPG adventure and the TokyoPop script assignments, I turned back to the script and started going through all the comments, suggested edits and notes. I finished it yesterday,

A five year old script isn't a useful spec or anything inherently useful, I know that. But its purpose for the time being is to be done and it will probably thrown it up on a fanfic site somewhere.

Those folks that gave me comments back then, they deserve to see the new version. But here is the thing, I can't find any names attached to the old comments, and looking through the archived threads isn't giving me any clues. I have a couple of ideas of people to contact, but I thought I would do a general all-call to see if anyone remembers commenting on...
