You know, my big sister could really beat the crap out of her. I mean, really really.

Our wings are not tired.

I have registered for the LA marathon March 2, 2003. Vibes for injury free training and a few more pounds lost prior to that date would be appreciated. I haven’t made my air reservations yet because I am deciding how long to visit and if I want to spend a little time before the race or after. I hope to meet some LAistas and hopefully hear a few of you cheering from the sidelines.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I just got an email from a friend who about a month ago, had been very excited to announce that she was pregnant. She had a miscarriage on Christmas Day. Vibes for her and her husband are very much appreciated. Also, I feel horrible because the first thing I thought when she announced it so early (about 3 -4 weeks into the pregnancy) was "Why announce so early? What if something happens?"

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

I'm back in D.C. Rome was unfreakingblelievably cool. More in my LJ tomorrow; sleep now, then New Year's celebration.

Swouncing

I'm going to a conference next week, so I'll probably not be here for at least ten days or so. I'll sit in lectures I don't really understand (and in some I'll have to pretend that I do), and I'll probably think on occasion 'hm, I wonder how they are doing', but I won't be able to type it. I'll sure miss you guys.

Anyway, I'm posting here in order to let you know that, according to the Buffista Calendar, tomorrow (January 3rd) is shrift's birthday, and January 7th is Miracleman's birthday. Happy early wishes to the both of them!

I may have to seize the cat.

I got a job, whee! I'll be working as an AfterSchool Assistant 8 hours a week. It's a tiny job, but it's just enough to give me the cushion I need beyond my scholarship money.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I'm back at school safely. Moving's a bitch.

And we will call it... "This Land."

My boss announced today that she has sold the company to another printing company. Tomorrow's our last day.

The purchasers are taking some of the staff to handle the expected increase of work they'll get by inheriting our customers, but not many. They don't have a design department, they don't offer that service.

Upshot is, they're interested in adding design services to their menu. Could I work part-time?

Second upshot is, I was thinking about going part-time anyhow.

We'll see how the money works out... I don't believe in coincidences and I don't believe in luck, but good vibes appreciated.

Let me just say that popularity with people on public transportation does not equal literary respect. --Jesse

Halt the discussion while I'm in the caribbean for nine days. I know, there are new shows, but really, it'll be hard to catch up. Thanks.

Haha, like you'd really stop...

You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

A few of my poems won a (unspecified) runner-up prize in the Philadelphia Citypaper's 2002 Writing awards.
